Default Peyton Manning thinks Tim Tebow would look good in a Colts uniform?

Despite his status as a proud University of Tennessee alum, count Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning amongst Tim Tebow's many fans. If Manning hard his way with the Colts scouting department it sounds like the Florida Gator standout, who was picked apart at the Senior Bowl because of his quirky throwing motion and struggles reading defenses, would be high on the Indianapolis' prospect list for the 2010 draft.
The Colts are in need of a decent backup quarterback considering Curtis Painter, a rookie selected in the sixth-round out of Purdue, will serve as Manning's backup in Super Bowl XLIV because of Jim Sorgi's season-ending hamstring injury.
"I think he's going to have a good NFL career. I certainly would be careful putting odds against him," said Manning, who is completing his 12th season. "The guy is competitive. A guy with his kind of strength and character, any NFL team would be lucky to have Tebow as a quarterback. Not any other position but quarterback."
The Colts could use a young, promising quarterback to groom as Manning's possible successor, and most talent evaluators are convinced Tebow needs a season or two to adjust to the NFL game.
According to Manning, the Colts could get some use out of him immediately.
"With all the problems we've had on third-and-1, fourth-and-1, short yardage, I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's probably 100 percent in his career on converting those," Manning said. "I've seen him make a lot of [NFL] throws. He's done a lot of damage to Tennessee over the years. I'm not disappointed to see him graduate from the University of Florida."

this kid will be a sucess he has ability , but most of hes got heart, he is a team leader wherever he goes, he would be best suited to play on a team whicch is very physical on offense , and a team that runs first. what team im not sure but who will be willing to spend the bucks on him

Yeah right. I suppose Manning wants another offensive weapon, so he can make him into another utility receiver like Dallas Clark. But the Colts are so razer thin on defense, it seems like they're constantly doing it with smoke & mirrors, starting so many young players drafted in the mid to late rounds. If this Colts defense played for half the other teams in the NFL, they'd get absolutely drilled. But since they work in complement to Manning and company, the ultimate game manager, they are able to get into good situations often enough to be serviceable.

Who knows? Polian keeps loading up Peyton with weapons draft after draft. Just check out the first round draft picks by the Colts over the past 10 years. I think they've mostly been offensive players.

Tebow is a good athlete with heart, but not going to be a nfl qb. Runs like eric crouch and throws like gino torretta

Tebow stands a better chance of becoming Indy's QB then Aints have of winning the superbowl.
