Default The Curse of Tampa Bay Cannot be Denied!!!

    Tampa Bay curse

The Tampa Bay Curse is a sports hex that affects NFL teams that lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. No team that has lost to Tampa Bay during the regular season has gone on to win the Super Bowl in the same season. Tampa Bay is one of only two NFL team to hold that distinction, and through 2008, it is still active. [This is also true for the Carolina Panthers, albeit they have existed 19 years fewer than Tampa Bay]. The curse may be related to the historical bad luck and poor performance of the franchise.

New Orleans LOST to Tampa Bay, and Carolina this year.

Ofcourse, this eliminates most AFC Teams because Tampa only plays 4 a year, and the most that could qualify for a playoff spot is 3. But if what you say is true, and I believe that it is, New Orleans has NO chance against Indy, because they lost to BOTH Tampa Bay and Carolina.

I think this ranks right up there with the "Curse of the Bambino" or the Goat Curse with the Cubs....interesting nonetheless

Well if one team can snap the curse, I would hope that it would be the Saints. I am going to be where all the action is for the Superbowl. Not in Miami, but in New Orleans. If the Saints happen to win, I would not miss that celebration for the world.

No team has lost 3 straight to end the season and made it to the SuperBowl..........until the Saints! Looks like the Saints will have to end another streak.

I was trying to see if I could find something similar that would apply to the Colts.

Best I could do would address their #32 ranked running game. The last time such a poor running team won the SB was the '70 Colts with the #23 running attack out of 26 teams. Never has a team ranking in bottom 10% in offensive rushing and won the SB.

    Can anyone do better?

New England was ranked 27th out of 32 teams. That's why I picked the bottom 10%.

I was just trying to pick out something about the Colts that hasn't been done before.
