Default Tavaris Jackson is the luckiest man on earth

He is not going to take any heat for Vikings failures this year. He is probably feeling happy and vindicated.

This team would have gone nowhere with him at QB

Vindicated? That's probably a bit strong. I do believe he wanted his chance that he never got and who knows about next year.

I wonder when the Vikings will ever be in the position again. Peterson probably missed any chance at ever making it to the big game, like LT.

They were good enough to make the playoffs with him. Now we are just left wondering how Favre fukked up the Vikings with his play in 2nd half.

The interception at the end wasn't entirely his fault. No excuse for a personnel mistake off of a time out. Brett's not making that call.

I guess you can't really blame him, now that he just explained himself. He didn't know where he was at on the field, that's why he tried to make that play.

He threw the ball across his body blind sighted and at least 5 feet away from the receiver without any zip.

He was out of FG range and rolling out on a gimpy leg. It was an ill-conceived play to begin with. That's the part I am blaming on the coaches.

You have to understand, I'm a Bears fan. This guy has been killing my beloved for over a decade. I have no irrational love for Favre. Just calling it like I see it.

Screw Farve the choke artist never takes blame for his poor play. This guy needs to retire and do depends commercials.

Put down the pipe bud, his options should have been to run and slide or throw the ball away, they still could have tried a deep FG

A real HOF Legend Quarterback does not bend over his own team like Favre seemingly does time and time again with Super Bowl trips on the line.

That being said, he is a HOF Quarterback... its just he's extremely erratic, obviously much moreso than the greatest that ever played, Montana, Elway, Starr, etc. He's not a championship type QB, hes a regular season, numbers compiler whos flashy because he's a gunslinger.

When Tavaris wins 1 Super Bowl he will have the same number of Super Bowl wins as Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien, Trent Dilfer, and......................Brett Blameless.

Jackson is a 2nd string QB. If Favre retired (and IMO he will not), Minny may be strong enough to get a playoff spot on the legs of Peterson, but Jackson will be no help at all. Since the NFC North must play both the NFC and AFC East next year, it will be very difficult for their runner up to make the playoffs. If Favre retires, Green Bay will probably win that division.

I live in Minnesota and have for my whole 28 years and follow the Vikings as close as anyone. I doubt Tavaris Jackson even cares.

FAILURES?!?!?!? They got within one interception of making it to the Super Bowl!

Yea, they blew the championship game after pretty much dominating it, but I'd hardly call this season a "failure".

I think the Vikings did very well. It was they turned the ball over too much in the last game thats all.
