Packer fans need to realize they wouldnt be shit if this guy hadn't carried their sorry ass team for his entire career. You should kiss the ground this man walks on. It's your fault he left anyways.

You're clearly uneducated about the situation.

Can you at least acknowledge that #4 will be the greatest thing to ever don a Packer uniform

Yes...he's uneducated (very!) about why Favre left.

Is he the greatest thing to ever don a Packer uniform? In terms of "best player"...absolutely.

In terms of person or figure? Absolutely not. You can't spend a year in purgatory ONLY to come back and try and play for your rival just to stick it to the GM...because he was "sticking" it to the fans who made him who he was, who got his wife through a bought with breast cancer, got him through a bought with pain killers and alcohol...got him through the death of his father...etc. He may have wanted to stick it to TT...but he stuck it to the fans just as bad...and for that, he will always be a villain in GB now.

Let me guess...you're just a punk Vikings fan. Enough said. What have you guys ever won? Enjoy your heartbreak!! Oh yeah...we're one of the youngest teams in the league still...and we have a Pro Bowl franchise young QB...good luck finding yours...you know, because your track record til now with that has been stellar. Good luck with Jacksonfels

Cowboys fan, douche. Everyone saw how your owner handled the Favre situation. He let Favre go and now Brett continues to beat the Packers record. Id rather lose in the NFC championship in OT than have my headcase of a QB flame out in the first round.

HAHHAA...Hey "douche"...we don't have an owner you rooster knuckle. Like I said, uneducated tool bag.

And I have one on my wall. Friend. We get invited every year to "shareholders" meeting. It's a good time. We get input in our team...by the way...don't even try and act like you'd rather have Romo than Rodgers.

You were ripping Rodgers. He is a stud of a QB. I wouldn't take Favre of this year, or Romo in any year of his career over Rodgers...point being...Packers clearly made the right decision anyway...even if, no offense...you're not educated enough on the situation to know the difference of why he is or isn't in GB anymore anyway.
We clearly disagree...and you being a Cowboy's fan and me a Packer's fan...it's easy to see why! We get to play each other again next year...we should make a fun side bet on that one when the time comes.

He was a stud of a QB until he caved into pressure. There is no need to question my intelligence when Packer fans have made websites asking to fire your GM. It's been covered nationally that its Ted Thompsons fault that Favre wasnt happy with your team. Goodnight bud

  19. #19

Favre did sort of get run out of town. Everyone knew there was no way in hell they would let Rodgers walk, and if Rodgers wasn't given the starting spot he was going to take a contract with a team that wanted him to start. Plus, Ted Thompson and McCarthy both knew that so long as Favre was there, he would receive all the credit for success.

It was just a clash of egos and a fantastic backup QB that led to this. You can't put it all on Favre.

And as for his choice to play for the Vikings, it was clearly his best option if he wanted to win. So it seems pretty unfair to say that revenge was the motivation.

  20. #20

Ted Thompson did pass up on Randy Moss even after Favre begged to pick him up. Moss then went on to catch 23 td's and set the league record and 1500 yards receiving which would have set the Packers franchise record.

More uneducated dribble about why Favre left. TT and MM went down to Mississippi on more than one occassion during that final off-season to gauge where he was...Favre called MM 3 times and told him he wanted to come back...then MM would call him the next day and Favre would say, "meh, now I don't think so"...you can't run your team like that...you can't wait on the beck and call of one player. We had to move on...and the fact is, had the diva simply said he wanted to come back after that season, he would have been the Packers QB the following year. He has no on to blame but his attention whore self.

    AND

TT never could have had Randy Moss...he publicly stated he didn't want to play in Green Bay.

By the way...Viking fans should live it up...I'd talk all the sh*t you can to us Packer fans...because even if Favre comes back, next year isn't going to be easy for you guys in the North...AND...if he doesn't, Jacksonfels will be glorious...but oh yeah...good luck planning the off-season with his "will I or won't I"...and even if he does, you won't catch him in Minny during the off-season more than once.

For only like the 3rd time in the histories of the teams the Vikings made it further than the Packers...by winning 1 whole game more than us...enjoy it...live it up...talk a ton of sh*t...who knows when the next time will come!!!

You have the Cowboys on the schedule next year also...I'm sure they will be circling that one in their locker room too!! Better start talking off-season Queens fans, next year has already started in both Green Bay and Dallas...and Minny, has a huge question at QB, and a bunch more in that secondary!!! Live it up Queenies!!!

Now they suffer from the Favre blues...will he or won't he?? Should I or shouldn't I?? What should we do at QB?? You know, because that's worked so well for you in the past...better get a call into McNabb's agent!!

Vikings play Green Bay twice next year, and Cowboys again...Childress better buy a house next to Favre's for the off-season, and send him letters and daily milk to convince him to come back...because even the Lions will have a crack at them if he doesn't...AND...even if he does...he's a year older, and will not have the same season. It was the best of his career statistically...good luck with all that!!!

This is going to be good.

Alright well now you are just flat out lying to cover your gm's ass. QUIT LYING
"The Packers were really talking about the wrong things, and not the right things. When they started talking more about the wrong things, I just hung up the phone and didn’t want to talk to them anymore. I thought at first it was something that could have worked, for the fact that Brett Favre was there, but I think as the conversations occurred throughout the day and the next day, I didn’t really want to go to Green Bay.”
“They were just talking about their team concept and the wide receivers and Donald Driver," he said. "It was like they were telling me that they were going to somewhat take a chance on me but, ‘if you do come here, these are the things you have to watch out, and be on your best behavior, and Donald Driver is the top receiver here, so don’t come in and try to step on his toes,’ and things like that.
"I didn’t think that was right because my whole career I have been taken out of context sometimes, but at the end of the day all I wanted to do was win games. ...I didn’t really feel they wanted me. I felt that Brett Favre wanted me, but I didn’t really feel the Packers wanted me.”
Good job Packers You lost one of the greatest receivers of all time

I'm not a Packers fan but let me clue you into the whole story w/Favre! Old Brett decided a few years back with his gigantic fcn ego that he could GM the Pack as well and tried to force them to sign Randy Moss! When they didn't...he threw a temper tantrum and threatened to retire AGAIN! Its well documented that he was never friendly or helpful to Rodgers to groom him....which is no surprise being the prick that he is! Rodgers is a GREAT talent and couldn't ride pine forever so they let Favre go! They had enough of his ego and most importantly...his playoff chokes! You would think a Dallas fan wouldn't like Favre after he rubbed their faces in $hit last week? I glad Favre got what he deserved again plus he got the $hit knocked out of him too! I'm a Bears fan but I used to respect the hell out of Favre til he showed what a ego maniac he is!

By the way....you're wrong here too! Moss might be one of the most talented WRs ever but he's never won ANYTHING! Thats because he's a lazy and soft pu$$y that only gives effort when he feels like it! Now he's helping the Pats self-destruct! GB did the right thing w/Favre & Moss! GB has a ton of good receivers anyway and Rodgers will be around for alot of playoff runs with that young defense!

Id love to hear you say the bears wouldnt kill to have Randy Moss. And so if you are a Packer fan who cares what Brett is doing now? worry about your own team. He kicked your ass twice, get over it. The sooner they quit bitching the sooner they focus on what they need to get their own team to win.

You are so wrong on this topic...
Firstly, you are a Cowboy fan...I'm pretty sure my knowledge of the Packers and ALL situations regarding current and past Packer players is more vast than yours...just as yours is about Cowboys over mine...
Secondly, calling someone a liar for saying something true is a little egregious I'd say. TT didn't "pass" on Moss...it's not like Moss was rumored to go to only New England...he was "rumored" to also be in the mix of being sent to GB...why would that be??? Because our GM, TT, was clearly in discussions about acquiring the malcontent...
Thirdly, why didn't the Moss deal happen?? The same reason Tony Gonzalez isn't a Packer today...but I'm sure, since you've got all the answers on Packer trivia, I don't have to brief you on that deadline Chiefs deceit do I??
Lastly...we are focused on our own team...that's why Favre is no longer a Packer in the first place. However, if you think for one second we won't rush to throw his selfish antics in his face after the things he said and did...you would be most incorrect.
The truth is, this is thesame Favre we grew to love...the gunslinging wild boy who loved to drink...well, that's great when your younger...when people can look at you and say, "interception problem??"..."nooooo, he's just a young player!! He'll figure it out"...well, he never did...he just got lucky when one year he was stock piled with enough talent around him to make it not matter. He never learned. There is a fine line between love and hate...and he's irreconcilably crossed that line to a lot of Packer nation.
But, im sure you've got it all figured out wipf

I live in Indy and if Peyton Manning went Favre on us down the road (won't happen of course) and went to the Titans down the road....of course we're not going to just get over it! Rodgers will be the best QB in the NFC next year....you heard it here first! Warner & Favre may not come back and age will catch up either way....Brees will be the only one in Rodgers class as Romo is overrated! ARodge is too good to keep on the bench...year after year while Favre holds the team hostage!
