Favre can run hot and cold. If Favre becomes an interception factory, it could get ugly. But I think he'll be fine.
Another thing, if Brees gets hot, Favre may not be able to keep up. Favre is great, but the Saints can hang points.
Even so, I think the pros and cons balance out and the answer is to take the Vikings ML getting nice odds.

It all lives and dies with Jared Allen, if you want to look at one player.
If Allen can get pressure, the rest of the Vikings defense opens right up. If Allen can get neutralized, Brees can pick them apart. That matchup is the key to the game. I think Allen has been living for a game like this, I'm betting on him.
