    Harvin suffering from 'headache'

    Posted by Chip Scoggins
Last update: January 21, 2010 - 3:Vikings coach Brad Childress said rookie Percy Harvin missed practice Thursday because of a "headache." Harvin's history with migraines is well-documented. He missed one game this season because of a severe bout.
Harvin visited the Mayo Clinic recently and said he came away with a good game plan for how to deal with his migraines. Harvin had not experienced any problems since meeting with Mayo doctors.
"I think it's just a matter of trying to slow the onset," Childress said. "For a while he had them pretty often. This is the first time one has raised up. Expect him to be OK. ... He has a headache so he has to take care of it. [It's] not something you can fight through."
Childress also said he's hopeful that defensive tackle Kevin Williams and defensive end Ray Edwards can do some work in practice. Both missed their second straight day of practice because of knee injuries.
"They might get out here tomorrow," Childress said. "I'm in hopes they are, but again we'll see how much progress they make."

DE Edwards is probably more important to the Vikings than Harvin! If he plays like he did against Dallas then Brees is in trouble because Jared Allen is always bringing it on the other end! Should be a great game!!

It's all about Adrian this weekend... it's very simple... if he runs like he has the last 6 weeks the Vikings lose... if he runs like we know he can, they win

I think it's all about the Vikings pass rush. If they can get to Brees, they win. Otherwise, they lose.

They better put some pressure on Brees because he will light up that Minny defense. That is how they beat Dallas.

I think this is only partly right, the game mostly hinges on the Vikings offensive line. If they dominate the line of scrimage, Favre will have time to throw and Peterson will have a good day.

just look how the vikings do when AP runs well.... their defensive line will be fine they always have been.... AP has been slacking and if they don't get him going they are in big trouble

Would be nice if Harvin plays but I like my Over 52.5 either way in this one!! Saints D can be beaten and the Vikes have given up 29/ppg in their last 5 road games (4 TDs to Jay Cutler)! Minny just isn't the same D on the road!

I liked the Vikes until I heard about all of this... if they cannot get pass rush, they are screwed. Harvin is important, too, but two key DL really matter. Hard to know, even at game time if they are going to play, if they will be effective. Might play and be 95-100%, or might play and be ineffective or even come out for good. Hate that. Bet against Vikes and they are OK, make numerous sacks after a few key pain shots... bet on them, and they play like shit.

It's the playoffs, everyone is going to play. The team looked fine last week. I see no reason for concern.
