    Default Manning didn't deserve MVP

    Last year it should've gone to Warner.

    This year it should've gone to Brees or Rivers...what a joke...

    Both players had better qb ratings and more yards, better td/int ratios.

    They give the MVP to Manning every year right before Rivers sends him home

    in the playoffs.

    34 TDs, 11 ints and 28 tds to 9 ints with a higher qb rating and less talented

    receivers is more impressive than than 33 tds and 16 ints.

    Nothing against Peyton, but he's already got 4 MVPs and the other 2 were more

    deserving this year.

    Without Manning, the Colts are 8-8

    Without Rivers, the Chargers are 1-15 (worst rb in the nfl, worst coach in nfl, etc..)

    I strongly disagree with this quote. You've got it about backwards. Colts are 1-15 without Peyton, Chargers go 8-8 without Rivers.

    Part of it is because the team is designed around Peyton, they simply don't have a good backup QB because they don't need one.

    With Rivers, it's more of a standard system. Plus, Volek is probably the best backup QB in the league. He'd make a fine starter, IMHO.

    Both teams would lose their edge without their starting QB, but the Colts are nothing without Peyton, the Chargers would "get along".

    If Manning went down in week 1 they would have been 0-16 (assuming Painter played, if the back up kicker was the QB maybe 8-8). He is the most valuble to his team by far.

    Rivers this year: 4 game winning drives this year. Peyton= 2?

    have u seen LT play? or do u just think he's good because of his reputation? I'm a Charger fan, so I know that LT is so bad that it hurts when he gets the ball and trips over his own feet for a no gain.

    Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark= two of the best at their position.

    VJ and Gates= slightly above average but Rivers is so accurate it doesn't matter.

    Colts= good defense, good coaches

    Chargers= average defense, Norv Turner

    Peyton owns Rivers in this category. Peyton set the NFL record this year for most consecutive games won with a 4Q comeback.

    As for the rest, I think I'm being generous saying Clark/Wayne versus VJ/Gates is a push. Manning pads their stats so bad. The defenses are a push as well. SD is having a down year. Anyone who says Norv is a bad coach isn't paying attention.

    You and I both know that either of us could've coached the Chargers to the playoffs this year
