In the past, that cliche is not true. I'm on it with you though.

Here's a good article in response to this fallacy. Although it's a couple years old.

    Teams with a chance to beat a team 3 times in a row are 12 - 7

this is the worst damn reason for taking the right team...as some1 already said team that won the 1st 2 are 12-7...doest seem as hard as you think...that being said i think philly is the play just has nothing to do with this myth

If that team is at home, then it's 11-4.

If that team is better than 10-6 then it's 7-1.

If the opposing team is better than 10-6 then it's 4-2. If it's also at home, then 3-0.

None of these numbers are good for the Eagles.

Cowboys are gonna crush the Eagles....Philly is a trick team. All around the Cowboys are a better team in every dept and they're at home. We're gonna make em pay for spitting on the Star!!

It's hard to beat the same team TWICE, but once they do, it proves that they are just the better team. That's why the 3 times thing makes no sense.

That being said, I'm on the Eagles because I think they'll be more focused.

That's probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Just because the Cowboys choked vs the Giants two years ago means absolutely nothing. Eagles might win, but it's not because "Team A has trouble winning 3 times in one season vs Team B."

It's also hard for the Chargers to beat the Raiders 13 times in a row, but it doesn't mean it won't happen

they should have been more focused last week this way they would be playing at home and not on the road
