Default Two Super Bowl Futures I like

    Green Bay 18/1

    Jets 48/1

They are longshots, but I think the Packers come into the Playoffs playing the best ball. Also Jets have obvious strengths(Run D, Revis, and Run O). If they can capture a lead, their probability of a winning skyrockets.

You'll get a better price parlaying them on the ML week after week. This is true for any of these futures.

I like Green Bay. They are the best team that no one is talking about.

Not in Packers case because they may become favorites to win NFC when Saints and Vikings both lose next week.

I like the Packers' odds here. I'm not sold on the Jets yet, I can't see them bypassing the Bolts or Colts.

Bookmaker has NYJ 33 to 1. I realize it's still a longshot, but I don't think it's that much different than the Ravens winning the Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer.

Which book are you getting nearly 50/1?

Just a few weeks ago jets were 200/1. Now that would have been a nice pick up.

Packers has a good chance to come out of the NFC. Jets, very very long shot as Sanchez is basically undependable.

True. The Jets backed into the playoffs worse than any other team I can remember---ever.... But.. What if they win the first round of the playoffs? Let's say the win the first found of the playoffs in dominating fashion....are they not a favorite to win?

Any team that can run the ball and prevent the run should win. Any team that can do it best in both should be a favorite---unless they don't have a QB.

Well, as a big College FB fan I hate Sanchez, but... I love him in this situation. If I can get the same 48/1 odds on the Jets to win the SB... I'm laying at least a few units. I think there's a ton of value in the jets-----even if their team is everything that I hate as a football fan.

btw, this isn't a hedge. if this was a hedge, I'd hedge the bungles. But the bengals lose by at least 4 in the first round!

    gl guys!

Uh-oh. Diehard Packers fan here. Never like when the public heavily sides with my team. But yes, I'll still be betting on them.

No way would the Packers be favored going into Dallas for the NFC Championship.

I addresses this in the other thread,

1 - It COULD be the Eagles they face (I think that whoever wins Phlly/Dallas game wins again next week).

2 - While I agree it will be GB @ Dal, Cowboys would only be -3 if they played the game now and line could be shaded more if Pack beat Saints handily.

Jets best value on the board (remember they have the #1 defense in the NFL and defense wins in playoffs).....Also like Arizona, they are nasty and arent gettin much respect.

Not true. Many sharp bettors bet Win total props in the NFL. Teddy Covers only missed two out of 7, and he does that consistently.

My interest in the prop is really for the hell of it, and the improbable chance to hedge.

Here go my plays. I have squashed the prop betting endeavor.

    Bengals -2.5 (-110) to win 100

    Eagles +4 (-110) to win 100

The Packers look to be the sexy pick of this postseason, especially since they are dogs to Arizona (which I still don't quite understand). Rodgers is going to throw all over Zona's weak secondary this weekend

Well, the Jets are still alive! lol Next up: San Diego!!!

As far as the Packs, who would have thought that putting up 45 points would still get you a loss? Wow!

Pack were a good pick that went public too hard and too quick. I wish fewer people had talked so much about them, and even fewer had bet them. That is the kiss of death.

I looked at the futures of all the teams, and the Jets were the only ones to stand out a little at 40-1 and later 30-1. I would prop bet on the Saints not winning if I could. The Ravens might be good now (15-1 as of this writing) since they might have the confidence and mindset to beat good teams after the Patriots drubbing, which they haven't done so all year, though a few close losses are in there.
