Because if NE loses and Cincy wins in week 17 then if they play in the playoffs in the AFC championship game then game will be at Cincy and vise versa

Facing the Bengals in the AFC Championship game? I think the Pats will take their chances if that happens.

I'm not sure if the Pats will rest their starters or not against the Texans. One thing I know is that the Texans are the #7 seed, basically, in case the Ravens or Jets slip up somehow they can get a playoff spot.
