    PITTSBURGH -- Wide receiver Joey Galloway has been added to the Pittsburgh Steelers' roster as the replacement for Limas Sweed.

    Sweed was placed on injured reserve Monday with a non-football related illness. Coach Mike Tomlin would not reveal any details of Sweed's problem Tuesday.
    Galloway was cut by New England earlier this season.
    The Steelers also signed long snapper Jared Retkofsky to replace Greg Warren, who injured a right knee ligament on the final play of Pittsburgh's win over Green Bay. Retkofsky was the Steelers' long snapper for the final two months and the playoffs last season after Warren tore a knee ligament.
    Retkofsky had been playing for the New York Sentinels of the United Football League.

    WHAT THE HELL FOR THEY HAVE SO MANY TOP GUN RECEIVERS IT'S SICK.
    My opinion dumb move they need some band aids for their secondary outside corners priority list#1
    Man is this pissing me off Bad Bad BAD!! decision UNLESS THEY DID'NT have the league required WR active list min. If this is so I take back my staTements. I just get pissed sometimes about their decisions.

    I like the move and get rid of sweed Galloway is a vet and with goog hands well better then sweed so I say good move

    sweed was place on the IR....so he is not able to play at all the rest of the season....ward, holmes, wallace and galloway is basically WR's.....they can put 2 or 3 ppl out there if need be, but they needed to sign another true WR

    I got galloways autograph on football when I was kid. Gradually lost interest in the football and have since lost it.
