Default Would the Colts lose on purpose?

This is probably stupid to ask, but would Peyton Manning want to get a loss to end all of the undefeated talk? If they lost tonight it would also take some heat off of them if they decide to set the stars at the end of season. I doubt this to be the case, but you never know. Any thoughts??

Peyton is preparing even a little harder for this game 'cause it's a night game. There is no quit in him or this team. To even say such is blasphemy!

There is no way Peyton wants a loss just to get it out of the way. He's breaking records.. why not continue the streak and retain that legend?

No NFL team ever plays to lose.

I remember 20 years ago, the Packers were looking at getting the #1 pick overall around this time of the year. But they won a game or two in December and the fans got kinda frisky because that bumped the Pack down the draft board. They interviewed the players, and their response was something like "What, should we play to lose?!".

So, no, maybe there are emotional letdowns, injuries or soft play due to clinching playoff seeding, but no team ever plays to lose.

Makes no sense at all for Indy to try to lose on purpose.
