    Default Love this game sunday

i don't post plays usually but i really like this one and im going to lay a bit on it,more than usual

    OAKLAND RAIDERS+1

don't be fooled by sundays showing against the saints as it was wide open for the saints to lose, and still they did not.......not as they already are not,the redskins will be really deflated after blowing that game sunday that they clearly had in hand and now going to the west coast to play a raiders team that has been playing pretty good the last 3 weeks i see this as being a major play

good luck on whatever you decide

    Cool

ya no what its a good play. the redskins have to travel out west and east coast teams usually dont come to play after the long trip across the country. the only thing is that how do you know the raiders come to play, i mean come on their the raiders. they do have a decent shot though.

I've lost too much playing the Raiders so I don't touch them anymore. You never know what you are going to get...

The Raiders are a much better team without Russel at QB and with the Redskins traveling 3000 miles...Just hard to know which Raider team will show up. Good luck with your pick I may have some action on it myself.

    Hey 21,

I just saw your pick thread now. I think it's a brazen call, shows some handicapping guts, but certainly far more realistic without JaMarcus Russell at the helm. Best of luck Sunday.

I would like this play a lot better if I could get at least +3 on the Raiders. No value at this line, as the travel and letdown factors are already built in to the number (perhaps too much so).

The play looks sensible. It's not getting many comments because Sunday is a long time off for a forum for Degens. Hell, we might have made or lost $20,000-$30,000 by then.

LT and others make good points. All other things being equal the Raiders play makes sense, but come on... It's the raiders. I wouldn't go overboard here with two shit teams with nothing much to play for besides pride. GL, I hope it works!

I'd rather bet on the masterbation championships in Amsterdam. Oakland has been just won a game, so that means they will lose (ATS) the next 3 games, expecially at home, where they have covered already 3 times this year, which is 1 more than they average per year since 2002. Yeah check on it, they have overachieved at home already.

Then you have Washington, which will probably have a huge letdown after finding a way to lose to New Orleans, Dallas, and Philadelphia in recent weeks. All three teams are better than Washington, but all three teams really should have lost against the Skins. Will this be the week they break through and win, or will Oakland go on a 2 game win streak. If I had to, I would say Washington wins this 9 - 7 on a field goal by their brand new kicker at the gun.

Redskins in a romp...... Oak is Oak and the NFC East is the NFC East...
It's like the Big 10 vs. SEC matchup......

Pittsburgh has been straight struggling...so what if oak beat them?

    well said

    Skins 33-16

masterbation championships? You can make $$ doing that?

I must have let $500 or $600 slip right through my fingers last week alone!

i know what most of you are saying, these two teams are nothng to write home about and im not emptying my bank account on it either but i do like how the raiders are playing without russell at qb,they seem much better if its safe to use that word and the redskins will definately be down after blowing that game against new orleans, that has to hurt,i like the comment that someone made about a 9-7 game as i do believe it will be low scoring, but i think the raiders have the edge here and im going with them at home......thanks for the discussion guys.....good luck this week

like Oak too....the long rd trip and Skins tank has to be empty after several close losses vs Div opp and Norl......kicker blew two wins ez.....Oak QB is much improved over JR....Oak already took Cin and Philly down here........just win baby

Skins win this game. The last 3 weeks they've pushed DAL, PHI, and NO to the absolute limit. This week they break through and finally get rewarded for their VAST improvement.

The more I think about it, this might be the best bet of the weekend. Your play is absolutely the wrong pick, imo.

I like the Redskins. Their pass rush has been pretty consistent, although, their secondary f***up in the last few games. Go SKINS.

Reread my post. There is no value either way with the line at +1, I would need at least +3 to consider the Raiders.

Actually, you just made a strong case for the Raiders. After three straight heartbreaking losses, especially last week, how is Washington going to get up for a weak team like the Raiders, especially flying cross-country for a non-conference game? I can't bet the Skins under any circumstances here, but this line is simply too short to back the Raiders, so pass for me unless line rises.

Redskins (3-9) @ Raiders (4-8)-- Washington covered last four games, three in agonizlosing last ing fashion, by 1-3-3 points; they're 0-6 on road, dropping five games by six or less points. Oakland won its fourth game last week; in the game following its first three wins, Raiders are 0-3, losing by combined score of 85-10 (0-3 vs spread). Eight of 12 Redskin games were decided by six or less points. Oakland is 2-4 at home, beating Eagles/Bengals, two good teams. Five of last six Washington games went over the total. NFC East road teams are 7-9 vs spread in non-division games. AFC West home teams are 10-4.

That's some questionable reasoning there. Neither one of these teams should have trouble "getting up" for anybody. They both should understand at this point that anything less than their best is going to garner yet another defeat. Flying to the west coast from the east hasn't historically (or logically) had the same sort of effect on NFL teams as vise versa either.

Washington has been coming together over the past 4 or 5 weeks. The O-line has gelled somewhat and they are finally utilizing some of their youth on offense (Devin Thomas, Fred Davis, Malcolm Kelly). This isn't a matter of who "gets up" for the game more. The Skins are more talented and playing good football right now. They are set to break through here and the Raiders is a very winnable game.

Washington is a deflated team after losing a heart breaking game against the Saints last week. They will not be motivated to play this week against the Raideers. the Raiders just won a big game aginst the evil empire of the Steelers, they are riding high with swagger and playing against the Redskins will be another win for the RAIDERS

I have Washington by 4 with my numbers, but most of that is skewed towards Russel at the QB. I will probably end up playing over as that Toledo qb looks to by insync with his core receivers and washinton finally showed some sign of life. Good luck on your Oakland pick.
