Raiders Trade Terrelle Pryor to Seahawks

Not sure why Seattle wants him.

Pryor wasn't going to play for Oakland anyway. Schaub probably starts this year and then whoever they draft in the first round this month takes over next year. And McGloin is OK as the backup.

Pryor could be serviceable with some good coaching. Nice spot for him to land.

They had to counter the 49ers acquisition of Blaine Gabbert obviously.

Seahawks acquire QB Terrelle Pryor from Raiders for seventh-round pick
Terrelle Pryor wasn't going to make Oakland's roster, so the Raiders automatically get a solid grade for this. Granted, a seventh-round pick almost certainly won't amount to anything, but you never know. It's a resource the Raiders wouldn't have had otherwise, and they need as many draft selections as possible because of their lacking depth.

As for the Seahawks, Terrelle Pryor can act as a developmental project. He's still very raw, and there's even a chance he won't make the roster, but if he shows enough promise, Seattle can keep him on and have him learn from Russell Wilson. Maybe the Seahawks will even be able to flip Pryor into a better draft choice down the road.

When did this happen? Who in the hell acquired Blaine Gabbert to play qb? That is ridiculous.

And imagine Gabbert will start if Kaepernick gets reprimanded.

They gave up a 7th round pick..which if they used it to draft someone he wouldn't have made the team. Big fukking deal.

Think he landed in a good situation. Winning atmosphere and the ability to just relax and play the game. Will be interesting to see if Seattle keeps 3 qbs. Believe Tavaris' contract is fully guaranteed so releasing him is not a likely option.

If Gabbert can get moved anybody can get moved. Interesting that Seattle wanted Pryor.

Pryor may not even make the team....or he could be the #2 QB. We'll know more in preseason. There is no intent on moving him to another position as of now either.

every single team keeps 3 qbs. I think hell make the team as the #3. They traded for him so nobody else could grab him up so they must see something they like

I'd hold out if I was Russell. Kid doesn't have it in him to do it... but he needs to do it.
