Default Thoughts on both line and O/U for Thursday Night Football: Dolphins panthers!

the line is Panthers -3 and O/U 42.5

with the way panthers played last sunday I do see them to take this game at home...however...the dolphins are not a bad team. They are 1-3 on the road this season and their losses have been to Chargers, Falcons and Patriots all by an average of 10.7 points. By this stat the obvious pick is panthers -3 without a doubt......

other factors in this game: Panthers have not really beaten anybody except for the falcons at home and cardinals and both wins were by an average of 11.5 points........by this i think the obvious pick is panthers -3........i dont see how else to not pick panthers-3...especially with reports that brown wont be running as back for the dolphins in the game

o/u: 42.5 seems a couple points too low for this game...i woulda thought it would be at 46-47 range. from this the books are either wanted a lot of action on the over that way if the game ends up being a blowout by panthers like 3-21 or 7-28 they will win a lot of $......so for this reason...even though its not a great one.....i like the under 42.5

picks: Panthers -3, Under 42.5 (possibly buy points depending on if the total goes up)

    It's not just the spread, it's the juice. I would rather take miami+3 +115 than Caroline-3 -125.

Why cut your nose off to spite your face? F the juice ... take the win and be done with it.

As I was doing some research I came across this, which is making me lean towards the "under"... The only thing that scares me is that Miami has been OVER in the last 5 of 6, but with Ronnie Brown out, maybe that will be the difference. Thoughts?

    MIAMI-
Miami is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games
Miami is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Miami's last 6 games
Miami is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games on the road
Miami is 6-3 SU in its last 9 games on the road
Miami is 7-15 SU in its last 22 games on the road
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Miami's last 5 games on the road

    Carolina-
Carolina is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
Carolina is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games
Carolina is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games at home
Carolina is 10-3 SU in its last 13 games at home
The total has gone UNDER in 14 of Carolina's last 20 games at home

Ronnie Brown IS the wildcat and he will be sitting on the bench. I can't trust Pat White yet

    Brakon,

Saw some posts where you did pretty well in the past. You keep track of your record?
