My feeling is this: You say you "capped the line" at 17.5, and the line is 13.5. So by your own reckoning, you have only a 4 point margin of error on the game. That doesn't seem enough for a lock or a huge bet, to me.

Especially after 2 consecutive meh starts to a game. Brees is gonna come out firing. 48-10 doesn't sound unreasonable at all. Even if they take their foot off the gas offensively the Rams are awful and that D can score.

I agree I had this game capped at 17 minimum. When Colts were -14 vs. Rams a few weeks back I jumped on that one too. Why? Because its the Rams. They are absolutely terrible this year, especially vs. any halfway decent team. The only concern I would have is if the Saints dominate (which they will) and then switch out QBs around 3rd quarter to allow for garbage time.

They win by 30 easily here. Also in response the rams having good run offense, who cares?That just means they will concentrate on shutting down the rams all mighty run game while putting up 40+ points.

Carolina is getting it together. The line movement, or lack there of, on this game is weird. The public is on the Saints big and there has been either RLM or it has held steady...indicating that the books like where they are at.
That said, there is little here that has shown me the Rams won't get blown off the field. Not sure what to make of it.iPad

Rams should cover. I have been advising against Rams, but I like them a LOT in this spot.
NO not going to be fired up, 8-0, will sleep thru first half.
Rams off bye, thin on talent but new coach is taking team in right direction. Ram WR's are healthiest they have been all yr, so there will be option to throw, though Rams will run Jackson continuously. If Rams can get 125-150 yds rushing, they will cover, unless they blow up with turnovers. Rams + 14!

I would be careful taking the Saints at this point. I live here in New Orleans, and the local paper said not to be taken in by the double digit spread. Saints where unable to cover the spread against its divisional rivals. The Rams are coming off a bye week and playing at home.
Look at the number of injuries the Saints have and who will be starting. Look for the Saints to jump to the lead and nurse the clock with runs. They plan to play very conservative. I am confident they will win tho, but more than 10 would be a bit to much. Good Luck!!!
