Default Survivor League Help: GreenBay or ATL?

These are my best options for this week (the team only needs to win straight up):

    Which is the better choice?

    Green Bay @ Tampa Bay?

    or

    Atlanta (HOME) vs Washington?

Ok I'll try to give you an actual answer. I am also in a survivor pool and had to consider Atl, SF or GB. I went with Atl. I never like to take road teams and although TB is one of the worst teams in the NFL I just can't get that Oakland/Philly game out of my head. SF was too shaky for me so it ended up being Atl. Until this week M. Ryan had never lost back-to-back games. I think they had a real chance at winning Monday night and are now in a spot where they cannot afford to lose at home to Wash if they have hopes of making the play-offs. Atl is a MUCH better team at home and I know Wash (0-3 on the road) has a solid Def but their offense is unable to score more than 20 points. Atl wins this one 24-13. Good luck!

I'd take Green Bay here, no contest. Green Bay dominates Tampa Bay in almost every facet imaginable. Green Bay will probably get a couple of their offensive linemen back this week. Tampa Bay is coming off of a bye, but how much improvement can be expected out of an inexperienced QB? As long as Green Bay doesn't have an emotional let down going on the road after a tough home loss versus a divisional rival they should win this game by double digits.
Atlanta, on the other hand, is in danger of losing this week, according to my numbers. In their last home game they were heavily outgained by the Bears but had good luck in the red zone to prevent the Bears from scoring on more than one occasion. They actually played okay in their last two road losses to two superior teams, the Cowboys and Saints. The Redskins have one of the better defenses the Falcons have faced all year, and certainly the best they will have faced in the past month. The Redskins lost their last game versus the Ealges because of a couple of early turnovers -- they played pretty solidly on both sides of the ball after that, and moved the ball pretty well versus an Eagles' defense far better than Atlanta's. With the Falcons' inability to dominate any facet of the game versus the Redskins, I have it being a pretty tight game, with the Falcons winning by about a field goal.

thanks for the input... really great points on both sides, but im still in a bind. I originally was leaning towards Green Bay but didnt liek the fact that they were on the road after such a tough loss.... anyone else have an opinion?

Green Bay definitely. TB is awful and GB is coming off a loss to Favre.

only thing tampa has going for them is desperation. do they really care about going winless though?

GB easily, washington is good, TB is terrible.

Good luck. Great points Sports Cruncher. But like I said I hate taking road teams....no matter how bad the home team is. With that said I still do expect GB to win outright.

I'm in the same pool....and I came down to either GB or ATL. I went with GB. Tampa is really sputtering, and starting Freeman for his first NFL QB start.

Reason I stayed away from ATL is they just played a hard fought game on Monday night (less rest) and Washington isn't the worst defensive team around. If Campbell can find any type of spark that he had early last year, then this could be a tight game.

Out of 464 left in my survivor pool, 154 picked ATL and 34 picked GB. I think more people have already used GB though in weeks against the Lions and Browns. Also, 152 are on Seattle.

Like I said in the other thread. Aaron Rodgers with a bad foot with that offensive line. If you bet on the Packers anyway coming off an emotional game vs a team coming off a bye week, Against the Spread or Survivor League SU, you are asking for trouble.

Both should be safe, but I like Green Bay here.

MY FU(KIN survivor league just blew up in complete shambles. I won pretty big today at my sportsbook, but I'm extremely depressed that the Packers couldnt take care of the inempt Bucs. Absolutely pathetic. I stopped following the game with the Packers up 11, only to see them lose by 10. Really not sure how this could have happened. I'm on tilt from a stinkin survivor league that 99.7 eventually lose on. Unreal

Well I'd rather be trailing 14-0 in the 1st quarter then already being eliminated by one of the worst teams we've seen all century.
