Hello all,

First time poster...long time lurker. A lot of you have some good insight, so I would appreciate your thoughts on my strategy for this week/tonight.

I have a 4-team teaser going that has already hit 3 out of 4, with only the Falcons +18 tonight left to go.

2 units to win 4 units:
MIAMI +10 1/2
SAN FRAN +20
CAROLINA +17
ATLANTA +18

Now I am getting a little paranoid, and am considering a hedge bet such as NO -11 1/2 or a 2-team Teaser of NO -5 1/2 and OVER 49.

I like the teaser idea since NO could win by between 6 and 17 and I could win both bets .

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

The teaser could be good but you run the risk of it not going over and losing both. I don't think the over/under is a sure thing at all. How much do you have on it? I personally like the falcons and would probably let it ride, but you could hedge a very small amount on NO.

Not too much on it, unfortunately this season has been rough to me so far. Main reason I am considering hedging is so that I walk away with something. I guess that would indicate I should hedge on the saints, but I really don't see both hitting and I would be eating away at my profits if I lose the hedge bet.

I am a Falcons homer and would love to just let it ride, but who knows what to expect on Monday night vs the best team in football?

Also, I know the over is not guaranteed, but I think that ATL +18 should hold if this is an under 49 game.

Thanks to mdemps for the reply...would've been nice to get some advice from a few others, but I guess you guys are all too busy arguing with the LSU fan about the saints. Good luck arguing with a LSU/Saints fan...they will never ever concede that their team has any chance of losing to anyone.

Took the teaser of Saints -5 1/2 and OVER 49 in addition to my original Falcons +18....as long as my Falcons score 17 points, I'm makin some money tonight!

Hey man.....I am a Falcons Season Ticket holder and I still took the Saints at -12. I also put in another two team teaser of the Saints -6 and Over 49 so I like your bet. Personally, I think +18 will be right around where the Saints win by. So hopefully it goes in your favor and mine .
