I do not see Raiders can make more than 3 points. They are finished.

Raiders played tough against their division rival their 1st meeting and I can't see Chargers covering 17.5, but after the Raiders' Jekyll and hyde performance between the Eagles and Jets, I vowed never to have my money depend on their success. No play for me.

Raiders have reached a new low of God-awfulness, I'm a fan and I'll be taking the Chargers, after last week I'd take the Bolts at -30, Phily was an aberration as they didn't show up to play and the Raiders coaches never told Emperor Al they'd be blitzing and running MODERN DAY DEFENSIVE SCHEMES, too many points to risk a dent in your bankroll but a safe moderate sized bet

Raiders played them tough in week 1 and even was about to beat them. with that being said, they play so incosistant that i wouldnt touch a raiders game for the rest of the season no matter how big of dog they may be

ive been a raiders fan since i was kid--they suck at levels that go beyond words. until al davis dies they will continue to suck and if it is possible they will take the suckiness to even lower levels. i would not take the raiders if they were getting +30 they would lose 31-0. they have wasted so many high draft picks, have terrible coaching and did i mention they suck.

Why would you bet anything on such a bad team, LOL?!?!?!?!?!
Russell doesn't think he is the problem at all. Sure, I would take Oak plus the points only if SD all ate some bad chow and everyone is strapped to the shitter at gametime. Then and only then would i bet on Oakland.

I won big on OAK ML beating KC way back in the season...

I was so fortunate. Now that I have the cash I feel good about never playing the RAIDERS again!!!

shady is right, OAK played SD tough in wk 1 but they are a fickle program.

Maybe they alternate weeks sucking and they'll be decent tomorrow??

The Raiders defense struggles against good offensive lines. Philly's o-line is average and the jets o-line is filled with pro-bowlers.

The Chargers O-line is terrible, and Seymour/greg ellis/tommy kelly should give them fits. Just like the first game. But, the QB for Oakland is just so so so bad. If they had changed QB last week. I think the Raiders defense would keep them in the game. But with J.Russ? Tough call.

    I'm off this game

I was thinking about putting 50 on the Raiders and the ml. Still may do it.

Neither team has shown much this year. Does anyone really feel like they have a solid read on either team?

I think Tom Cable's mind won't be on the game at all after all this stuff on ESPN this morning about how he beats women.

Just saw it. What a scumbag. He has a history of throwing punches, at men & women, so I guess he is at least an equal opportunist.

The Raiders game does fit under the "Fifty-Point Swing System" from Dan Gordon's book called Beat The Sports Books. If Team A's win margin plus Team B's loss margin is 50 or more points, you bet on Team B on the point spread. So the Raiders lost to the Jets last week by 38 points and the Chargers beat the Chiefs last week by 30 points. You add 38 and 30 so it's 68 points, which means that you bet on the Raiders on the point spread.

The same thing applies to the Titans. The Titans lost by 59 points to the Patriots and the Jaguars beat the Rams by 3 points. You add 59 and 3 so it's 62 points, which means that you bet on the Titans on the point spread.

I wanted to play a parlay on the Raiders and the Titans but I chickened out to see if what Dan Gordon was saying correct and he was. So I'll have to wait for the next game that fits under that system.

I really thought the line was over inflated after last weeks chargers blowout of Kansas city,Chargers came back down to earth.

Stanley 77 That book Beat the sports books, was it worth the read, any decent sports betting concepts.

You should read that book but I have to say that not every strategy listed in that book will win. But the "Fifty-Point Swing System" from Dan Gordon does seem to work for every game that fits under that criteria.

The St. Louis Rams are a play under the "Fifty-Point Swing System". Under this system, you're supposed to play the St. Louis Rams on the point spread, which is currently at +14. But I really think they're gonna win outright against the Houston Texans. The point spread is way overinflated in this game. There's no reason why the Texans should be 14 point road favorites as an under .500 team.

If you look back at the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Oakland Raiders game in 10/18/2009, the Eagles were 14 point road favorites and they weren't playing that good at that time. That's why the Raiders won the game outright with that kind of point spread. I think this applies to the Texans vs. Rams game.

My pick is on the money line on the St. Louis Rams.
