Default Is Eagles -7 the Immortal Lock?

I've been looking at this game the better part of an hour, and my god....I don't see how the Eagles don't roll these Shit-Skins.

I know, I know....Eagles lost to Raiders last week. Let me tell you something, I live near DC and I hear about the Redskins every day of my life. THERE IS NO TEAM in the NFL more dysfunctional than the Redskins. The locker room is in total chaos. Management tried to cool things off by saying Zorn will stay on til the end of the year, despite being stripped of his play-calling. What a joke!!

If you look at the common opponents between these two, there is no comparison. Eagles win every category.

I know there are no "locks" and this is an NFC East grudge match, but the Redskins simply do not have the depth or talent to compete. They have NO offensive line whatsoever!!! Portis is not the rusher he was, and would be a second rusher on most teams.

Eagles looks like a lock that I want to go huge on, but I'm doing the safe play and betting them as a normal bankroll play.

after seeing the way the eagles looked at oakland last wk, and seeing how oakland has looked against everyone since kansas city, i think calling philly a lock tomorrow is borderline insane, sir

I am a die hard Philadelphia fan. Even I would not call this a lock.

Even though I feel good about them coming out strong this week after the turd they laid in Oakland, there are a few things that make me nervous.

    1. Sherman Lewis, despite being summoned from Shady Acres Bing Hall and Meals on Wheels could throw a few wrinkles in there. The Eagles haven't been able to game plan against his offense yet. Hopefully it will still be the same ol' Skins, dysfunctional and inept.

    2. McNabb did not throw any TDs against Washington last year. Their defense seems to play well against him. His protection wasn't good against Oakland last week. The Redskins have been able to generate adequate pressure with Orakpo and Haynesworth (who has a sprained ankle).

They get Herremans back at LG tomorrow and Jason Peters appears to be a go despite his injury. SO hopefully they can protect him. Nick Cole slides over to RG. Jamaal Jackson, despite being a bigger C, sometimes struggles when guys shoot the gaps or tie him up which Haynesworth can do well.

    3. Andy Reid and his reluctance to run the damn ball.

Bodog has it up to PHL - 8 now.

Line up to 9... I can't possibly take the Eagles after how lousy they were last week. I lost too much money last week to trust them this quickly. I'm either going with Washington or no play.

    Mac, don't do it !!!!!!!!
Betting on the ForeSkins is monetary suicide!!
I keep wanting to put money on this game, but I just can't. I will NOT put my money on the ForeSkins, the line is fishy, Philly dropped a turd last week, Skins play Philly pretty good, etc.
If anything, I might put a small wager on the under.

If I play this at all it's gonna be a 6.5pt teaser:

    PHI -2 / under 44

I see this being 14-10, 17-14, 21-10, something like that. but MNF is a strange beast and I'll probably just lay off it.

I get a feeling that the Eagles are going to stomp the Redskins by more than 10 points. The road teams this weekend looked awful good and this will not be any exception to the rule of this weekend. We seen road teams beat teams by over 28 points in several games and that is something that I sure didn't expect at all. That is why I like the Eagles on Monday night because of that fact alone. Washington cannot score and the Eagles couldn't score against a terrible Oakland team last week. I think Philly just didn't come to play last week and that is what happened there. Philly will come out and play against the Skins this week and they should easily win this game without a doubt. I told friends of mine they could win something like 27-10.

wish my book had it at 7.5, i'd definitely buy to 6.5 too. 8.5 is too much for me, even though i think they win by 10.

After the Eagles making me lose my Yahoo Survivor Fantasy(down to the last 6 people looked like a lock pick against Oakland) and my parlay. I refuse to put money on them again for the rest of the year. Go Bills!

philly looks good. WAS win only with TB and STL and we all know how these two teams playing. Philly lost last time with the OAK, and for me it was little shock. line now at -9. they need Brian Westbrook to play better. WAS loss this season with close results. im waiting for the Lang selection ... and we will see...

Eagles OL a problem too; defense is not so hot. How TF could Eagles lose to Oakland?? Skins "D" is pretty good. Skins will try to run the ball, milk the clock, though Skins OL is pathetic. This all bothers me, I have been betting against Skins last few weeks but at home, Monday nite, bitter division rival, I might take Skins +8. Ugly ass game. Not sure.

Washington gets booed everytime they are at home. They won against St. Louis and got booed......Philly will correct their mistakes from last week and roll tonight. Taking Philly and the under because I don't see Washington getting to ten points.

A national embarassment will play out for Redskins on television tonight.

Guys, if you haven't seen a Redskins game yet this season, prepare yourselves to see coaches fighting, players fighting, and Zorn standing there looking confused and lost.

I'm listening to the pregame right now on radio, and callers are calling in hoping for a horrible Redskins loss so that Dan Snyder will fire the whole coaching staff and drop the contracts of several skill players. The boos are going to rain early and often! Alot of callers are saying that they are not going to show up tonite, or if they do they are wearing brown bags.

This team is a mother****ing joke!! The Redskins may cover tonight, but I'll take my chances that their lame-duck offense and schizophrenic coaching staff are going to completely embarass themselves.

The Eagles have a fluky loss to Oakland and realize that they can quickly correct their mistakes and still have a great season. But the Redskins have no hope, no peace, no rest.

Put yourselves in the Redskins players' shoes. How can you go out on the field and play with fire and intensity when your own fans are booing you out of the stadium? Why even try to play hard?

The Eagles players are going to wonder if they've been dropped down into the twilight zone when they see this mob scene tonight. They are going to love FEDEX Field tonight.

One final note on this play.....

The Sagarin Predictor model went 8-3 ATS this week. The model has the Eagles winning this game by 11.

Redskins Hold Press Conference To Announce They Are Still Sort Of A Football Team

WASHINGTON—Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn held a press conference Sunday to reassure fans that, despite an inability to effectively execute their offense, defense, or special teams, the Redskins were still somewhat comparable to a real football team. "It's been a tough season so far, and even though we are 2-4, we still have players, uniforms, Motorola headsets—all the components that technically constitute an NFL team, sort of," Zorn said while grimacing and making a "so-so" gesture with his hand. "Sure, I was stripped of play-calling responsibilities by team management, and I really don't have any clue who will play quarterback for us this Sunday, but I swear to you, in a weird, very convoluted way, we are in the NFL." Placing his hand over the microphone, Zorn then spoke briefly with an unidentified man near the stage, and announced that, for what it's worth, the organization owns the Internet domain name washingtonredskins.com through 2010.

Philly lost to the pathetic Raiders and McNabb still sucks.

I still might go with Eagles, but I am wondering if Skins players will adjust to the absolute mess and start playing football for themselves... after the shock of the mess with Zorn, etc, they might put down their heads and start playing. You see that sometimes in the pros, a team after 6-7 futile games, sees no future for the year in the playoffs, but then the players all realize they all have careers and contracts and start playing football again despite the mess. And Skins DO have a good defensive roster. But hate to take them and then they sputter on offense again. Campbell is a loser. Weather should be good for passing, 65 degrees, light wind, that helps McNabb and Eagles WR's. Either way, do not bet the mortgage!
