    Default Eagles are in trouble

About the Eagles... I strongly recommend that you look at the highlights of their last game against the Raiders before betting on them. The Eagles offensive line was already stretched thin. Then they lost Jason Peters early in the game, and their line just fell apart. I counted the number of seconds that it took the Raiders to sack McNabb. On 2 occasions, I did not get past "one". On 2 other occasions, it took longer, because McNabb was running backward.

At least this time, the Eagles have a week to prepare for this disaster, but Jason Peters is questionable for the next game. I know that Washington is a bad team, but I don't think that Albert Haynesworth will be any easier to handle than Richard Seymour. If Peters doesn't return soon, the Eagles will be at a tipping point, much like Seattle was last year when they lost all of their wide receivers.

(Originally this was a reply to topgames85's thread, but I later thought it was important enough for a new thread.)

First off I should put that I am a Redskins fan so this post may have some bias in it. But I must say I don't think there is any chance in hell Philly loses next week. I do not think they will cover though. It's been the same story for us all year, play excellent defense and play like total shit on offense. I think 6.5/7 or whatever the line was is a bit high for this game.

Football doesn't make sense right now where comparing how a team does last week, influences how they do this week. I didn't see a chance in hell the Jets lose to the Bills at home. Especially with the Bills only being able to put up 3 points at home versus the browns, and the Jets putting up about 30 points in Miami.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles blew out the skins....

Hard to get blown out when you consistently keep teams right around 20 points or less...just sayin'

Let ppl ride the Eagles. I will gladly wait til the Skins line improves. Don't have to worry about Zorn calling another horrible offensive game. Eagles don't know what to prepare for now. Skins Defense is still good, and offense just need to click, they do have play makers.

What are you talking about?? Did you watch the Den/SD game, and think that up. I dont even understand why that would be true. I'm really not trying to rip you, but I'm just confused. Never heard a statement like that B4.

so what your saying is that since the idiot owner brought som1 in 2 undermine idiot coach and probly take his job after the bye week that wash offence will be improved this week cause mabey the 12th new guy there qb listenin 2 in 5years will be the charm. sorry im not buyin it and yes peters being hurt is huge problem but i really dont think wash will match the intensity that oak played with last week. p.s. i think it was genous 4 gmen 2 call oak out and say it was like playin a scrimmage and they wernt tryin they basically willed oak 2 play there asses off and give philly a loss thinkin they were goin in for there scrimmage

Valid point, Dave, the Eagles' O-Line is in really bad shape now after starting the year with some backups with the oft-injured Andrews brothers injured again.

i think Philly will win by 10 thanks to a philly special team/def play

Oline was weak to start the season anyway. They really benefited from easy schedule early on. Skins suck so they should win here but long term still think they may not make the playoffs

well if the philly line turns out to be that bad I bet we see more of Vick running around. Of course there will be noe line to run behind but, wont be nothing new for Vick. he spent all those years in ATL and had really no line. not really a vick supporter just a thought you know. if they got no line a a QB that can run but, doesnt really like to and a QB who is just looking for the oppurtunity well maybe its a match. well.....maybe that was just a dumb thought.

Not a dumb thought at all. I was thinking the same thing. McNabb has already been injured once. If Jason Peters doesn't return soon, I doubt that McNabb will make it through the rest of the season, and Vick will be playing full-time.

It reminds me of all those years that Randall Cunningham labored in Philadelphia without an offensive line because that genius Buddy Ryan traded it away for defensive players.
