Default Stronger play, Steelers (-14) or Eagles (-14.5)?

I want to say the Eagles here. Oak just CANNOT score.

Easily the eagles here. I'm going to load up on this one. The Steelers have been failing to cover when I go with 'em. They didn't cover last sunday btw.

Until Oakland finds a quarterback, they will be in big trouble. Go with the Eagles.

I like the Eagles and Steelers winning by a landslide.....picked up the Eagles -14 early

It has to be the Eagles. If you look at the teams that have already put up high scores against the Raiders the most dynamic offense would have to be Houston. I think we can agree that the Eagles a) have a better d and a better o.

The steelers have been up and down. Easy Eagles are stronger play.

I'll play devil's advocate and say the Steelers because the Raiders are at home.

LOL raiders can be on the moon and the eagles would cover!

I would lean with the Eagles. Pittsburgh lost a starting defensive lineman which may affect them. Browns offense can't be as bad as the Raiders or are they?

Pittsburgh lost a linesman but Troy is back. So is Willie but mendenhall has been doign fine so I think that's less significant.

Still Eagles are the better pick of the two. Averaging 32 ppg and oakland is averaging less than 10. Give oakland 2 miracle TDs and Eagles still cover.

Browns are by no means good... but every once in a while they surprise you with 20 points or so against some decent teams (Minn/Cinc). I still think Steelers likely win by 3 scores but I wouldn't be too surprised if Browns covered 2 tds.

cle is an easy pick here

they somehow have managed to try to play their best against the steelers for while

even in those horrid years they've had

i don't have any stats to pull up but i'm pretty sure i'm right

this is a gimmie bet to me

obviously anything can happen in football but still

i'm not gonna be one of the people to think that cleveland is a pushover

as for philly. there's been too much spark in mcnabs eyes lately

Philly. They look better than the Steelers at the moment, and Oakland looks like they've completely quit already. Did you catch the comments Antonio Pierce made about them? I'm fading Oakland all year until they cover a game.

I know I am new and my opinion doesn't carry as much weight as many members here but I would take the Eagles all day. Oakland has possibly the worst quarterback in the league and they are simply not capable of scoring at this point. Plus, as mentioned they already seem to be shooting for the #1 draft pick.

eagles may cover that spread at the end of the 1st

    sadly this is no joke

Both are very good plays, I like the Steelers very much, they always play hard against the rival Browns, and with the shaky start of the season they need a morale boosting blowout. This matchup fits in perfectly

the steelers didn't cover against the lions last week. I'm going with the browns in this one to cover.

Fading the steelers because they didn't cover last week? As hard as it is to believe, there are maybe 5 teams WORSE than the Lions this year, and Browns are one of them. Steelers are at home this week vs the Browns while they played the Lions on the road. Steelers are also arguably better now that Troy and Willie are back.

Not saying you're not right though. I personally think that Steelers have the potential to play significantly better (along with the Jets and Pats), but they are admittedly mediocore lately. My play was to tease Steelers, and the Eagles down to a TD which they should most definitely cover.

Eagles. Steelers can't close a game even when they start great...also a divisional game, so the teams know each other well.

Most sites I've seen have the Steelers ML at a slightly larger number than the Eagles ML...just food for thought.

Both of these are probably going to be ass kickings.

    Philly easily.

Be careful with those divisional games. Would'nt be surprised if the Browns cover this number.

HUGE HUGE steelers fan here. i would not bet steelers, i wouldnt touch this game at all to be honest

a few key things to point out

    REASONS TO TAKE STEELERS

    - last week i believe derek anderson went 2 for 17 through the air

    - steelers get their all pro safety back in polamalu

    - mendenhall had a breakout week last week

    REASONS TO TAKE THE BROWNS

-steelers do not have the cut throat mentallity of finishing games. (in 5 games this year their opponents have scored them by 38 more points than them in the 4th quarter) perfect way to lose a -14 spread

    - steelers lost their best under rated player on the D line. a few years back aaron smith missed some games....i wanna say it was in 2007, i think they went 2-6 or something like that when he was out

    - steelers play down to their opponent

shooting for a number one draft pick?!?!? that old, senile, stupid, miserable Al Davis traded their number one draft pick to the Patriots for Jason Seymore. Until Al Davis is gone the Raiders will continue to be an embarrassment.

You should parlay them it's possible the browns and raiders won't score more than a field goal. They both equally suck
