Default Why the NY giants beat the NO Saints

They can score just as much as the saints but have much better defense!!
Giants will run the ball and keep the NO offense off the field!

No doubt the giants have a great defense but look who they have played. Easily one of the softest schedules so far, and Dallas had to give them the ball 4 times to win. Going to be a tough game but im leaning saints.

tease the giants with the patriots for 7 pts, you'll get NYG +10.5 which is over the key number of 10 and Pats -2 which is under the key number 3. I'm goin 260 to win 200

If I had to play, Giants +3 but I am not confident. I won't play this game. It will probably be close but I think the Saints will be ready for this statement game.

They also beat Philly and the Jets.

and who have the giants beat? Washington, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Oakland. Not a single good team. In your own words... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

While I agree that the Giants are a good team, your arguement about who they've played is flawed, as the Giants have had the easier schedule so far.

Giants have been GREAT as road dogs in recent years. Yes they have played nobody, but their defense is legit.

Just thinking out loud, I need to look closer.

LT profits you are right on the money. their defensive line and front seven control road games and coughlin coaches appropriately in most situations.

Just to throw in, since the start of the 2007 Season, the Giants are 19-3 SU on the road, with their only losses coming to the Browns in a screwy night game, a Dallas team desperate for a playoff birth and a one-point loss to the Vikings which they had everything to play for, and the Giants had nothing to play for. This line is now up to +3.5, seems like it's either Giants or no-play.

Edited to add Cleveland game before 17 people jumped on me.

like the over should be a close game like the saints in a close one 28-27.. something to that effect, hard to bet against the saints coming off of a bye + playing at home where they have dominated the last 2 years

dont underestimate the saints d. the fact that the line has already moved to 3.5 with majority on nyg raises flags

We all know what NYG is about so I'm not wasting time.

NO's D is flying under the radar...
NO is playing at home... off bye week, with rest.
NO's O is one of the best.... THE BEST DEFENSE IS YOUR OFFENSE.
NO's defensive coordinator knows NYG very well from the years he's been in that division.
Dink & Dunk = no sack.... which is NYG's bread & butter.

    Leaning toward NO at home.

Good point, if this was a playoff game I would bet the farm on Giants + 3. But Giants are 5-0, have been there before, while for NO this is a HUGE game for them to prove that they can beat a recent Super Bowl winner and NFC East bully like NYG. I will probably pass on this game, too.

I live right outside of NO and am a huge fan; however, If I were forced to take this game, I would have to go with the Giants and the points. I think they both have great offenses, but the Giants have a better defense. Once again, I love the Saints, but I think the Giants win outright.

I think the saints have too much fire power and played tougher teams so far, the Giants played basically no one except Dallas.

Guys you have to remember that the Saints had two weeks to prepare for the NY Giants. The Saints are sure going to be ready for this one. This game is going to be a really good game and I think the Saints will win based on that fact that they had two weeks to prepare when the Giants only had one week to prepare and then take a long plane flight there. My pick is take the Saints in this one.

I dont think the NYG have a great defense, I dont even think its a good defense

They won 3 straight games vs TB, OAK, and KC, all are 0-5

NYG played one game vs an average team with average offense and dallas scored 30+ on them

The Saints are better and should win by 10+

Saints are awful off their bye week.
Jet's exposed the Saints as their usual one-dimensional self.
Giants defense is statistically better than the Jets.
Brees will have many opportunities to lose this game.
In the end, they are still the Saints. And they are still the Giants.
I'd take the team with more experience in big games with the QB who excels in these situations.
It's the Giants or a pass IMO.

The giants are going to run all over the saints and Steve smith is going to have 150 yards!
Brews is going to get sacked 5 times! WATCH! giants 27 saints 21

The Jets has a really good defense but there defense is very good in the secondary. The Giants secondary is not as good as the Jets. But the Giants front 4 is a monster. The thing with that is Brees gets rid of the ball quick before the front 4 of the Giants get to him. The Jets also did not expose the Saints, the Saints just simply went to the run game and pounded it on the ground. If anything the Saints showed that there not a one dimensional team, they can run the ball also.

The Giants defense gave up a lot to the Cowboys and I think the Saints can do the same. Also don't forget the Saints defense is really good. They force a lot of turnovers and they have one of the best rush defenses in the league.
