    Default MNF: Jets @ Dolphins

Jets are 10-1 ATS in Miami and 20-5-2 all together. I dont see this trend stopping tonight. Im expecting both teams to run the football often with Jets coming out on top with a couple key passes from Sanchez to Edwards (and possibly Cotchery) against Miamis horrible pass defense which gives up almost 250 yards/gm. So at the moment Im leaning...
    Jets -2.5
    Over 35 (1 point buy)
    (24-17 Jets)
    What yall think?

I like the jets. I'm shocked that most ppl are taking the dolphins. I got the jets at -1.5 last week

I thought this may be a trap but so was the colts -3.5 against the titans and you see how that one turned out. Jets are going to stop Miami

    Jets 24 Miami 13

most of the people on this forum were on TENN while the public rode indy last night. too many people here make betting into a science of statistics and probabilities and RLM and dogs and national TV and sometimes just forget to look at the game. did people forget that pennington is done? jets win this

Chad Henne is not bad as a replacement for Pennington. At home last week Miami got the job done against the Buffalo BILLS 38-10.

Three weeks ago Miami lost to Indy and Peyton Manning 23-27. The JETS and Sanchez are about 1 TD or so less productive than the COLTS. Final score tonight will be Miami DOLPHINS 23 NY JETS 20.

Large bold fonts and pretty colors don't have any effect on the game, or the importance of your opinion.

    Jets win this.

plus mark sanchez is not peyton manning.. If this game goes anyting like indy/mia game, jets are done for. Mark sanchez is going to have to win this game. MIA has a great run game and run D, jets will be forced to pass and they haven't had any production this year doing it.

Mia gave up 200+ passing yards to Ryan, Manning(300) and Rivers(300).

The public is all over the Jets and the over. Monday Night football trends usually head in the over except a few games which just go under. This could be one of those. Tonight's line is no different from yesterdays situation with the Colts under a TD fav. I was thinking way too much over that game. Sometimes It's just a gift. I like the under but with MNF trends I'd just stick with playing the JETS. They are the better defensive team with a better QB offense with a new WR. The right play would be the Jets.

The Jets are playing their second consecutive road game. That's tough in the NFL. It's even tougher when it comes on a Monday night. Mark Sanchez wasn't good last week, and this will be the same type of environment. Can he bounce back? NO!!

Well it will be close, either team can win this.

Look at all the other games, who will be most discipline and get least penalties.

Anyway i took a teaser +4 for jets and under 43. The clock will run down and there will be alot of punting from both teams. Wouldnt be suprised if mia win 13-10 or something like that.

An how exactly will Miami move the ball, this is not Indys pourous run defense...these guys shut down the pats and probably the best offense in the NFL (Saints)...wildcat wont be so wild today

Yeah Cause everyone is running of the pourous colts right???? i dont thinks so they shut down C. Johnson

    Teaser

Ummm....you mean the 0-5 Titans which have been destroyed by everyone this year...yeah good point...

Take away the Houston game and look at his stats....not so hot

I agree...They Jets slowed down the high powered offense of the Saints. I am still on the fence on this one but leaning towards the Jets...will be a game time decision for me

  24. #24

they really shut down the saints run game
    No- Pierre 14 -126yds
    Ten- C. johnson 22 - 97yds

now they face the number one run game and Jets secondary has some key injuries.

You know I was hesitant at first about the total because of the fact that most MNF games somehow find a way to go over. I was leaning under but I may just lay off the total Im not sure yet. I think Edwards will be ok if he plays tonight. Miamis pass D is horrid so as long as he can catch the ball there will be some openings. Miami is definately gonna have to rely on there run game. Henne isnt gonna have any touchdown passes today. Still leaning Jets but not sure about the total. Line is starting to move up to Jets -3 at some places.

    Thanks Brooks

Miami and R. Brown will run well and keep them in this game to win it at the end.

If Cotchery is playing I may just buy down to 5 TDs and play the over. Sanchez and Cotchery should hook up a couple times. Well see.

you guys keep saying sanchez is not peyton manning. well obviously not. but henne is no pennington. he's a brand new QB too, and I don't know how you can say he's not a bad replacement for pennington. pennington was an extremely accurate passer with a pretty good arm on him. NYJ know EXACTLY what they're going to see from miami tonight, and that's a ton of ronnie brown direct snap up the middle. Without pennington, henne offers very little threat through the air. If the jets could shut down new orleans and houston through the air, I don't see henne doing anything. Sanchez has cotchery, keller, and a brand new toy in braylon edwards, as well as an explosive playmaker leon washington and the old pound em till you drop thomas jones. sanchez has an arm, and we'll see it tonight. going with jets over 7.5 first half and already on jets ML (earlier when it was -2.5). Sure miami could win, this is the NFL. But in terms of taking a gamble, I'm more confident in the jets here.

I just got home from work fellas. After watching that first half I ended up hedging my bet and taking the Fish 2nd half and boy am I glad I did. So I ended up having a winning day since I also changed my under play before gametime to the over. I was right about Sanchez and Edwards hooking up tonight though but the Fish were just too much for them anyways. Hope everyone did well. Ill see you at the NCAAF forum Tuesday for the Arkansas St/ ULM game!
