Default My horrible, horrible week 2

Always good to try to work out why you lost... I staked 34 units and lost 15ish (need to check the exact odds etc).

    SEATTLE +2 @ San Francisco
    6 point bet
I think I seized too readily on the 'media-darling' status of the 49ers. The media usually talks rubbish, but not always! Annoyingly, I'm quite a fan of Shaun Hill and probably picked against SF without enough thought.

Oakland @ Kansas City UNDER 38 points
    5 point bet
Easy win. Wasn't as run-heavy as I anticipated, but I neglected to mention in my write-up that it's easy to take an 'under' with JaMarcus Russell's lack of passing ability.

    CAROLINA +6.5 @ Atlanta
    4 point bet
I'm not too concerned with this one. Carolina in general and DelHomme in particular did bounce back fairly well from week one, as I expected, and got very close to covering. You can't win them all.

    DALLAS -2.5 over NYG
    4 point bet
I wrote that "the Giants lost only three of their eighteen fumbles last season. They're doubtless a very good team, but that kind of luck doesn't last forever". Well their luck sure held here, with that riDICulous interception off the receiver's heel and the juggled TD catch later. Cowboys beat themselves though, and that's always worrying.

    JACKSONVILLE -3 over Arizona
    3 point bet
Ugh. Too focussed on Arizona making the long trip and didn't look closely enough at Jax's performance last week.

    TENNESSEE -6.5 over Houston
    3 point bet
Shrug. I'd make this bet again. Can't believe how well Houston played on offense.

    Minnesota @ Detroit UNDER 46.5
    3 point bet
A win, if a little close for comfort.

    WASHINGTON -9.5 over St. Louis
    2 point bet
Well, I knew this was a stretch....!

    CINCINNATI +8.5 @ Green Bay
    2 point bet
Very nice winner as Cinci win straight-up as two score dogs.

NEW ENGLAND -3.5 @ NY Jets
    2 point bet
Patriots utterly dominated the first half, but didn't put points on the board. Jets get big credit on defense, Sanchez shows 'poise', I probably flat out underrated them, easily done after only one week of regular season play. I can't help thinking they're ripe for opposing next week vs Tennessee though.

.....Overall, I feel 'unlucky' on Dallas, but definitely didn't do enough work/thinking on some of these picks. Simple lesson, work harder!

Tough day for you, it could be worst. And you learn a lesson. That Dallas game, did people really think that Tony Romo was gonna win this game? Romo always ****s up in big game, and this game was huge for the Cowboys. I was thinking before this game and thought to myself, how many time has Romo **** me over in big games, so I too learned from my mistakes and I pic the Giants today. Better day tomorrow, good luck.

Fkin Titans, didn't see it coming at all. The offense just isn't the same.

Wow, thanks L2Gunz, that was really constructive. Why on earth would I make a new name and start again? I'm not here to try to prove myself to the likes of you. But hey, I guess I'm the only guy on here that's ever gone 3-6 on a weekend, huh?

Maybe you should make a new name under which to behave with more class and maturity...?
