Default Anyone else feelin' Browns over Minny outright?

I'm just feelin the browns pull the typical "oh shit its the nfl there's so much parity and everyone was on the vikings despite the fishy line omg wtf upset" here.

    whos with me.

Easily see it. I took CLE on MNF vs the G-men last year, everyone said I was a dumb **** and I got the W. **** Farve, I never bet on or against him. Brett Farve is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get.(Sorry to quote Forrest Gump.) Lets not forget Favre cost Mangini his job last year, Eric has something in the bag for the Old Timer. How do we know Farve will even play this game? Look for Shaun Rogers to pressure the QB up the middle whoever it is, that guy is an amazing NT. On the other hand A. Peterson could win it by himself potentially too.

I don't see it....I can't see whichever QB Cleveland decides to toss in there beating the Minn defense. I see AP tearing up the Browns unless they put 9 in the box. At which point, Favre will be able to manage man on man coverage. And if you are going to bet on Favre at all bet on him early, as his arm may fall off late in the season.

I'm staying away from this with the line being 4. If i had to take it though I'd be in for Minn

I was thinking this. Browns may just win it.

Vikings still have the worst head coach in the NFL. AP still puts the ball on the ground a lot. Favre still throws int's like its his job. Vikings 10-14 on the road last 3 seasons. I may play the Browns. Vikings are not going to be an easy bet like everyone thinks.

couldn't disagree more. While I am not a Vikings fan, that coach hasn't had a decent QB for years now but has still managed to win. Culpepper was the last good QB. Hard to win with out QB's

Minny looks real solid this year. Brady Quinn isn't that good and Cleveland as a whole looks disorganized. Minny will absolutely destroy Cleveland IMO

Clevelands rush D was terrible last year and they did nothing personel wise to improve it. I am on the Vikes at -4 all day.

Can't support taking Minny. It's either the Browns or pass.

Cleveland is the worst team in the NFL only ahead of maybe Detroit.

I think Mr Bookmaker around the world is a massive Brown's fan this weekend, that line is getting assaulted on the Vikes

I'm a Browns fan from Cleveland and there is not a chance in hell that anyone should take them in this game. They have a horrible defense, particularly against the run, and add to that that they can't run the ball for shit against anyone and you have the makings of a 14+ blowout by Minny. Just like last year in Week 1 against Dallas, I said if that line is anything under 7 it is a bad line.

I hear what you're saying about parity and anything can happen, but taking a top rushing offense and defense into playing a team that has no home-field advantage and is starting a very green, untested QB sounds like a bad bet if you take the points.

I really think Favre could only have to throw the ball 12-15 times in this one and Minny still could win by double-digits.

The Browns will not be able to run the ball and I don't think the Browns have the type of qb who can beat you just throwing the ball. Minny will be ok on offense. All they have to do is run AP and let Farve make just enough plays in the passing game. Only way the Browns can win is if Minny turns the ball over 3-4 times and the Browns get a run back or two on special teams. But it's the Nfl so anything can happen.

Woody you cant be a Browns fan and bash them that hard. I have faith in the "Mangenious" that he will have the Browns ready for the Vikes rushing attack. Its not the Crenelephant anymore calling the shots for this team. Mangini (or however you spell it) has been hard on the Browns this offseason and I think that will pay off. The Browns might not win but I think they will keep it to a field goal game. And really the Browns did not look toooo bad in the preseason. There O-line has some holes but I think they will be solid enough to give Quinn some time to make good throws. Quinn has a lot to prove this game and this season. I think he gets it done.

I do realize that I am majorly biased being a huge Browns fan but I got some faith in them right now. Its only week 1............... week 5 ill start cursing the team

Vikings arent just a dangerous rushing team anymore. They do have a guy named Favre.

You stack the line to stop AP and Favre will kill u through the air. He's not as washed up as people think as he was the leading candidate for the MVP last season until his injury. So he can definately still bring it especially early in the season.

I think theres no value in Browns ML as the Vikings are a SB contender with Favre. I'd rather take my chances with Dolphins ML or Jets ML.

I've went over this game at least 5 times, studied depth charts, it's like this, Brady quinn throws 5 to 7 yards short passes and Henderson and the rest of the Vikings linebackers are coverage linebackers, then you got IMO one of the top 3 D-backs int he game Winfield LOCKED UP on Edwards, The Williams boys might be looking at a rookie center if they play him, On offense Peterson will have a field day running behind deisels hutchinson and mckinnie, The Vikings receivers might not be nothing to write home about, but they match up well against a weak browns secondary led by Eric Wright. I've tried to talk myself into liking the Browns in this game but i just can't do it. The only thing that i like about the Browns is Mangini is twice the coach as Brad Clueless is. but thats just not enough to make me jump on the Browns, If the Browns win it will be a close game decided by a field goal, the viking have the potential to blow it out the water, here is my prediction,

Vikings 24 (PeTerson goes for 150 and Farve only puts it in the air around 17 times)
Browns 9 (Cribbs sets up some good field position but they never cash in)

i'm already on vik bought down to -3 for 2 units, but the line went from -4 to -3.5 after being at -4 for about half a week. I don't understand the rlm with so many people on min and has stopped me from throwing another few on min. Can anyone explain the movement?

This will be a blowout. I'm looking at the alternative lines because Vikings win by double digits.

These two teams are in completely different categories. The only wild card might be how Favre performs. There's certainly questions about how much chemistry he has so far, as well as his shoulder surgery. Otherwise, if the Vikings get up early, it'll be Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor all day. Don't forget Minnesota has a stacked defense, I honestly don't know how the Browns do anything against the Viking D.

Then tell my the line still is at Vikes -4 , when around 90% of the public is on them? Vikes are hyped.

    - Browns +4 or no play.

With the NFL any team can win any week, no matter how bad they are. I still remember, i think it was 7 years ago, openning week, Carolina at Minnesota. I LOVED Minnesota. They lost, straight up, and it was Carolina's only win. Doh

yeah seriously. if this game is so easily a minny dd victory, why did vegas set the line at 4 and isn't budging.

dont forget this game is IN cleveland. yes, that makes a difference.

shaky line, one sided action... please, act like you've seen it before, people.

The line not budging when it's 90+% on Minny does look fishy, but Goodell would have to put the fix in for this to stay close. And with old "Mandouchebag" at the helm I expect nothing but a disaster for the Browns.

People are asking why is MINN "still -4". Have you lost your mind? Are you so clueless to NFL you haven't checked lines until last week?

I started capping this season in JUNE.

MINN opened as low as -2.5 on offshore books, and -3 at every casino in Las Vegas.

The line is only going to move but so much, no matter how much of the public is on it.

This is crazy to give a sh_it about who's moving lines and who isn't. Make your plays and cash them.

As far as the game goes, I agree with woddy and slacker. MINN will win this game, possibly by double digits. The browns pre-season win over TENN holds no wait. This is a bad team.

I hear ya, stats, but I think you just picked the wrong game to prove your point. Minnesota is just too good for the Browns. The game that will prove "how the NFL rolls" is when a team like Denver, predicted to be shit by almost everyone, gets a road win against Cincinnati, who most people think will be pretty good this season.

well... if you guys want REAL bad news
