Default The Raiders need to start Garcia

If Cable was smart, he would start Garcia. He is a smart, tough, and motivating qb. The Raiders will go nowhere with Russell.

It's not Cable's choice...it's Al's. The raiders are a dispicable franchise and will be until Al Davis leaves

No no no no no no no no.

Are the Raiders a Super Bowl team with Garcia in there? No. Not even close.

You have to start Russell. If he has a terrible year, you know that you need to start looking for other options moving forward. If he does well, you know you have a QB in him.

Starting Garcia teaches you nothing, and even if he does well, the team isn't good enough to go anywhere and there is no future with him.

Russell had a very respectable rookie campaign, and deserves his shot this year. Garcia starting would be a complete disaster for the Raiders.

Great comments, guys. I agree with all of you. Al Davis makes these decisions and he'll probably go with the big arm, but we never know for sure with bat shit crazy. In my heart, I'd love to see Garcia get a shot. Garcia is a gamer and he just wins, baby.

Garcia is there to take over when Russle sucks ass after the first 3 or 4 games.

How many of you watched every Raider game last year?

And how many of you can explain to me how a 13 to 8 TD to INT ratio in your rookie year with a terrible offensive line in front of you, a coaching change midseason, and the worst WR core in football isn't impressive?

    Ugh.

Garcia released, unlikely to take over starting duties.

    YES!!

Gradkowski had a fantastic preseason, he deserved to be the backup .

And, at only 26, he unlike Garcia might actually have a future with the Raiders if Russell falters and a QB change is necessary.

Yay yay yay. Very happy Raider fan right now.

Default Like I said at the beginning of the season, jamarcus is a joke!

Like I said at the beginning of the season, jamarcus is a joke! They should resign Garcia in a hurry. I said it at the start of the season.
