I agree, I think him playing in all 16 games may be a stretch, but that is a long time to keep your money tied up at not a very good price.

But I also think having a better OL then he did in NY last year, as well as a more balanced attack with Adrian Peterson in the back field (he won't throw nearly as many passes as he did with Jets), should help him as far as being fatigued goes. Those are the things that I think work in his favor, but it only takes one blindsided hit that could lead to a possible concussion and missing games. Tough call.....

Don't know what I think about this team as a whole, but if they had a playoff spot/seed locked up with 1 or 2 games left in the season I could see them resting him for that final game, which could make or break the bet. That would be a great way to win but a horrible way to lose.

No way in hell. Favre will start in that scenario, if for no other reason than to keep his consecutive start streak alive. They'll play him one series, like in a preseason game, then let him goof around on the bench the rest of the game.


I think this is great value at +180. Favre hasn't missed a start in almost two decades! Plus, as we saw last season, if there isn't a bone sticking through the skin, he'll be starting.

Favre says his consecutive start streak doesn't mean that much, but to be honest, that'll be his major legacy. Favre is the Cal Ripken of the NFL and the Vikings will give him a LOT of leeway as far as keeping his streak alive.

Also, just in case you guys want to make a stupid argument about Favre getting benched for bad play. It's not going to happen. Favre can duck it up all preseason, he's still starting week 1. I'm not sure he can play bad enough after that to get the hook for Jackfelds. Favre is just too talented and experienced to lose his job for any other reason than injury. As we've seen over the years, Favre will even play with broken bones and injuries to his throwing arm that would bench almost any other NFL QB.
