You don't think a book realizes that a lot of people are going to buy the point, half point, whatever? They know youre going to do it, they want you to do it, you will not make more money in the long run buying points when the line is at an important number because you are not smarter than Vegas.

Obviously its easy for you to come in here bragging about how it would have made the difference because it was the first football of the season and everyone was watching it, but making broad statements based on one game makes you look like an idiot.

It depends on the price. If you can buy off the 3 for 20 cents and off the 7 for 10 cents, DO IT. Unfortunately, a lot (if not most) books now charge 25 cents to get off 3 and 15 cents off of 7, making it more of a case-by-case judgement call.

Buying off the 3 for 20 cents or off the 7 for 10 cents in NFL is +EV.

Other than that, I agree that all other point buying is pointless.

nickle player must go 1- 11 to lose buying points. 10% more with real books. 500 pays 600 thats 50 more .. PERIOD !!
