    Default bears -17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there will be no adjustment for the bears looking terrible on offense last week

    Sun 10/29 409 San Francisco 49ers +17 -124 OVER 40 -114
    10:00 AM 410 Chicago Bears -17 +116 UNDER 40 +104

they are not downgraded at all!!!!

even being a big bears fan i don't think i can take bears -17, that's too much

wow, that is a very surprising line. i expected them to come out and roll here but that is still a lot of points and against a team that likes to stick around, could be very iffy.

probably a no-play for me here.

I'm a 49ers fan myself and i could tell you that the line would probably cover. but if i were to take if i were to take it, it would be a gamble lol. if it were -10 i would be all over it 17 is too much

In 2 out of the last 3 games that the 49ers have played, they lost by 41 and were shutout by the Chiefs in Arrowhead and 29 at home to the Chargers. Meanwhile, at home the Bears have won by 27, 31 and 33. This line doesn't surprise me 1 bit and I would be shocked if the 49ers score more than 7 points in this game.

Yea, yea, yea. Rex had 1 bad game and now everyone is off his bandwagon. As a Bears fan, I was never a huge fan of Grossman because he hasn't proven anything when he was healthy. You have to remember, he is basically still a rookie when it comes to real game situations. He's been injured so much in his young career, it is really tough to judge him. I'm not given up on him yet, as expected he is going to have his ups and downs as the season progresses. Keep faith in him as he is going to be the QB that leads us to the Super Bowl this year.

Guys you cannot let one game cloud your judgment. I think the Bears will be back to form at Soldier Field with another 20+ point victory.

i find it best to keep expectations low for rex so it's not too far to fall

rex just needs to know the defense is the star of this team and not to try to be a hero or be brett favre

he can take his shots every once in awhile but his decision making needs improvement and definitely more consistency

well i expect grossman to have an outstanding game against the 49ers. Not that hes great but the san fran defense is just simply that bad. i would be shocked if san fran scored more than 10pts here

The Rex Grossman hype got so big that I think I started to believe some of it. After last week; it's thoroughly gone. He might get to be a slightly above average qb, but I think nothing more. He's had 2-3? yr.s w/ the Bears, granted mostly holding a clip board, but protecting the ball and not forcing the ball into double/triple coverage is qb 101. Where's Kyle Orton when you need him?! lol! How many turnovers in a game does Rex have to make before Lovie would put in Griese?! Let the Griese era start! Unfortunately, Rex just has to play so-so and he'll still be considered the 'franchise qb'.

I was shocked when I first saw that line. The line is down to +16 -113 at Pinnacle right now. If you like SF plus the points grab it now as I expect this line to drop another 1-1.5 points.

I still don't think the Bears are as good as that record is showing. It's SF or no bet for me guys.

49ers or nothing. I cant trust that 49er team, so its a pass.

Hard to lay that many points in the NFL.

Strong trend is to play a team w/winning record favored coming off a bye-over 70%- with NE and Indy both cashing in yesterday. Still, too many points for me...

I am guessing this is the Survivor Lock for this week for those who are still able to pick the Bears.

SF has zero chance here. they havent played well home or on the road. chicago has played well at home. the bear offense is not that impressive but they will score enough to cover. that and alex smith will be eating grass all day. i'm a 49ers fan but i am not optomistic here they are a long ways off from being good still

I would expect people to jump on Chicago early in the week, causing the line to go up. May be a wise idea to grab Chicago early rather than later in the week.?

Heh - all in on Chicago on the ML and count the nickels, baby!

    I definitely like San Fran.

If you are thinking about playing Chicago, there is an odd correlation in NFL. Big favorites and the under hit well (which common sense should say is wrong - it is just the opposite of NCAAF). But when a team builds up a 17 point lead in the first half, the game slows down and goes under.

How on Earth could anyone bet the 49ers in this one is beyond me. So far this year, they have given up 34, 13, 38, 41, 20 and 48 points. Meanwhile the Bears have given up 0, 7 16, 6, 7 and 23. Will the 49ers score more than 10? If not, that means the Bears only need 27 points to cover. The least number of points that the Bears have scored at home has been 34, while the most they have given up is 7. Will Gore be able to run on the Bears D? I highly doubt it which means Smith will be forced to throw and throw often which is exactly want the Bears want him to do. This game will be ugly and it will get ugly quickly. The Bears will be up by 17+ points at halftime and will cruise from there. I hope this line keeps going down, as I will have no problems hammering the Bears in this one.

That's a shitload of points, and THE BEARS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!

Line has finally leveled at 16. Just remember, Mike Brown is out, so that will help you SF backers.

I thought the Bears would cover 11.5 last week vs. the Cards; and promptly LOST MY ASS!...by F***ing halftime no less! Once the Bears get a comfortable lead, they'll just run and grind down the clock.. SF can put some points up if Alex Smith gets a little time to throw. Maybe I'm just paranoid...lol!

I think you are incorrect when you say they will run and grind the clock down when they get the lead. The Bears need to restore the confidence in Grossman so I can definitely see him slinging the ball all over the field versus a terrible SF defense. I knew last week Grossman was due for a shutty game and that's exactly what he had. He hasn't been that great on the road this year (minus the GB game) but has been lights out at home this year. Bears win big on Sunday my friends but you can keep doubting my Bears all you want because in the long run it is I who will get the last laugh.
