Default NFL Playoffs Round 2: Power Plays with *20 Unit Play*

Ok gentlemen, hope you're ready for the weekend!!! Some tough games ahead of us, but one great one to absolutely slam. All the trends are there and I'll be posting my write ups soon. Two of the games this week (Sunday's games) are ugly IMO, and rather tough to cap on the line. I have slight leans to Philly +4 and San Diego +6. But cant say that I trust either team. San Diego is a westcoast team traveling east to play in the snow, in 20 degree temps and I could easily see the Giants winning by 6-7 points in that game. I'm going to try something different this week, I'm going to play the games straight up on Saturday and a try something I usually never advocate, a "10-point-special-teaser" for Sunday with one Saturday game thrown in the mix. 3 Plays for 30 Units. Let's get to it.

    Straight Up

Baltimore +135 (ML) *20 Units (top play) - WIN

    Carolina -10 (-110) *5 Units - LOSS

10 Point Special Teaser *5 Units - LOSS

    Carolina pk

    Philadelphia +14

    Pittsburgh +4

2 Team Moneyline Parlay *5 Units - Pending

    New York Giants -190 (ML)

    Pittsburgh Steelers -250 (ML)

why is everyone against tennessee? I think i only watched them once vs steelers and they looked quite good. Not disputing the quality of balt, i just thought they weren't quite as good as tenn.
I guess your write ups riggs will expain all, cant wait.
I like the teaser tho but i dont like the -10 slapped on carolina, bit dodgy

I love Baltimore +3. They should win SU if they keep Johnsons rushing yards down. But probably my biggest play of the day. Ravens to the SB.

its real dangerous but thats what makes it fun. If you are gonna parlay, Do a three teamer, lets say two games Saturday and one Sunday. If you win the two games Saturday you can hedge your bets on Sunday and still win.

WOW, I like them all. Well I am passing on the Carolina game at -10, but agree with Baltimore outright and I love your teaser.

Because Baltimore is going to the Super Bowl.

The Ravens have all the momentum and are playing the best defense in the league. The Tennessee starters have not played in three weeks and will come out rusty, a major knock against this defense.

Ok guys I just thought I would drop in a little info about what crews will referee this week.

    Cards @ Panthers- Bill Carollo
    Eagles @ Giants- Scott Green
    Ravens @ Titans- Jerome Boger
    Chargers @ Steelers- Jeff Triplette

I don't believe in resting players, cant understand why teams do it. It's a momentum killer indeed, and this is part of my thought process behind this one.

    Thanks for the support LT.

Balt will be a huge play for me, no write-up required on this one Riggs!!
Lt- I have Balt. picked for the SB as well

Carolina should be your 20* play not BAL ML. Flacco is so due for a bad game its not even funny. Not saying it wont happen, I just love the Panthers this weekend.

Arizona is a fraud and the only reason they beat ATL was because the self admitidly had a "tell" on the defensive side of the ball. Every time Matt Ryan lifted his back heal, Dockett and company were off to the races.

This will not and cannot happen this week and Carolina will role.

Well Baltimore should have won the first game against Tennessee if it wasnt for a botched roughing the passer call, but this is in Tennessee so damn i dont even know yet.

    That teaser looks sweet.

I'll be against you with Cards +10. I'm banking that the Panthers will come out slow. 10 points is just too much, even for crappy AZ. Maybe also look at 1Q & 1H taking Cards. I think Carolina will win but not cover, so maybe play some other angles that give me that full 10 point middle.

Riggs, these games are tough. I'm even having problems with the totals...was thinking

    Baltimore +3
Arizona/Carolina UNDER (I'll take 48.5 but I'd like to see the public push it to 50)
    N.Y. Giants -4

Yes they are, but take Baltimore SU C-Bait! I'm telling you I'm hitting this one hard.

Warner will be on his back all night, Arizona wont put up more than 13-17 points. I'm thinking 31-13 Carolina, somewhere in that ball park. You know I hate totals though!

That Giants line is f****** ugly, this game is so hard to cap. I could easily see Philly winning this game in a tight one, then again I could also see the Giants winning by 1-7 points. Very ugly!!! That's why I'm teasing it, Philly will not lose by 2 td's. One thing to consider in this one is David Akers, the guy is absolutely horrible kicking in Giants Stadium.

Hey Riggs, Those Mighty Ravens look really good. Wouldn't mind sprinkling some on the ML... all your leans are like mine. Philly, San Diego, Baltimore, I'm not sure bout Carolina...Line might be too high....but we'll never know till the games over.. see you back here on gameday man

Baltimore is as close to the L word as it gets!!!

San Diego at +6 seems nice at first glance but I don't trust these westcoast teams traveling east in January. I hate Norv Turner and San Diego is limping into this one. Pittsburgh stabbed themselves in the foot in their last meeting, they had td's called back on penalties, they missed fg's, and they let up a s*** load of sacks. With said they Doubled San Diego in yardage (over 400 yards of total offense) while San Diego had just over 200 total yards. I don't like the game on the number.

Carolina spanks Arizona, Boldin looks like a no go, or limited at best, not that it would matter anyway.

Philly/Giants game, toughest game of the week to cap on the number, that's why I teased it.

Can't wait to see the "L word" on the Ravens write up. I hope you at least use some statistical data to back yourself up and not just the blah blah blah the Titans have not played in 3 weeks BS.

    Remember, 13-10... Baltimore, Maryland.

The Cards are going to get their assholes seriously gaped vs. Carolina. Could be a 24+ pt win.

You're pathetic, that was what, week 3? This is a different Ravens team and a better Joe Flaco. Aren't you the same the guy who bashed me over my Houston pick??? If I remember that game correctly the Texans whipped your boys asses all over that field, game was not nearly as close as the score would have you believe.

I like the plays, and I'm leaning Baltimore right now. However, the one thing holding me back is Flacco's inexperience in the postseason. I don't believe a rookie QB has ever won two playoff games, so that scares me away a little bit. I am anxious to see your writeup though, you've had some great power plays in the past. Good luck.

Yeah, we got whipped all over the field to a tune of 13 points you jackass. Had Fisher kicked that FG we would have won that game... We also forgot we have one of the best running backs in the league in CJ and he only had 12 carries. It was week 5, btw.

This "different" Ravens team hasn't had a bye sense week 2 and I'd argue that Flacco still struggles mightly against the better defenses in this league.

Ranking defenses on a basis of yards per game is very flawed.

Ok, the Texans had a 100 more yards of total offense, Slaton stuffed it down your throats running for 100 yards, Andre Johnson went for 207 yards, that's right 207 f****** yards receiving!!! Collins couldn't even hit 50% of his passes and was picked off as well. Oh yeah, and that stellar Texan Defense (lol) held your Titans to 280 total yards, they kept them out of the endzone, and only let up 12 points. The Texans should have scored at least 23 and you know it!!!

Agree with the Ravens bet completely. Took them at +3.5 (bought the hook) and on the ML as well. Also playing a 13-point teaser with the following:

    Ravens +16
    Cards +23
    Chargers +19
    Giants +9

What's your thoughts on the O/U for the Ravens/Titans game?

Leaning towards 1 play for the weekend:

    Carolina -2.5
    Ravens +10
