No....if you like balty, the "sharp" play was to play them above the key number of 7. If this goes to 6.5, I might play NE as that would be a great number for the fave.

I would also be a bit hesitant about either over today, but I don't see much value in the totals either way.

The biggest value play on the board was the giants, which we bought at +3 at the open. Its now at +2 or even +1.5 at some outlets which really supports that position.

    GL to all

Thanks for your answer, Pinny has the Pats - 6.5 @ -117.

Really wish I would have played the Giants/Niners under 42 at the same time I locked in the Gmen +3....

  5. #2805

GL with the G-men today LTA! Pumped up for some Football . Lines set up real nice for a little Wong teaser side play today - N.E -1/Giants +8.

Have fun everyone, hope it's a profitable day for one and all .

People are showing a Lotta love for the Giants. Rogers inaccuracies cost the Packers last week.He missed wide open receivers. The hail Mary and the stupid on side kick were major Contributors for the Giants gift wrapped victory. The Niners on the other hand showed a lot of heart. Brees threw the kitchen sink at the Niners and they showed great Resiliently. The line (-1.5) is dropping and there a good chance it will be a pick em by game time . Gotta love the home team here.

Agree 100%. That's my final play of the day. Good luck.

Good luck buddy. I'm not sure about the line prediction though, as select middlers might make sure this line closes around -+2 or -+2.5 even though it's such a short middle opportunity. I don't think it will get back to +3 though.

    Giants (+3) 1x (Locked)

I have the Giants set at +1.5, so I'm going to take a shot with the hot team. As we know, when teams get on a roll at the end of the year, they tend to do well in the playoffs. This was true with Green Bay last year and many previous winners, including the Giants the year they beat the Pats. I listened to interviews after the game and the Giants truly believe they can win this game. With the Giants improving defensive line to pressure Smith, I think this is no better than a field goal game and would not be surprised to see a closing number of +2.5 under the key number of 3. The Giants have the far better offense and a defense that is playing at a high level, plus a QB that has won in these pressure spots before. With a healthy running back tandem of Bradshaw and Jacobs, I think their running game should be improved enough to keep that great SF defense honest. I'm not sure that the Giants will win, but I am certain this will not be a blowout in favor the Niners. I see this one ending 21-20 or 24-23 or something close to those numbers. I think we are getting a little bit of value on the Giants, plus they are the "hot" team right now in the playoffs winning multiple road games, so I think they keep the train rolling. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the Giants for 1x. Good luck.
    Play #2

    Teaser

    Patriots (-1)/Giants (+8) Risk 1.1x to win 1x (Locked

I agree with Red on this Teaser. This sets up perfectly for a Wong teaser as I would not be surprised for both games to be close. Balty is getting a ton of sharp money all week and while they might cover, I don't see them winning this game outright. Hernandez is playing despite last week's concussion and the Ravens -- much less the rest of the NFL -- don't have horses to stop that middle-of-the-field tight end combination of Hernandez and Gronkowski. NE doesn't have a great defense, but they have a solid red-zone defense and at the end of the day, that's what really matters. I am just not sold on the Ravens when they play on the road, as they are a jekyll and hyde team away from home. Consequently, I think the Pats win this game outright if not cover. My thoughts on the Giants are above for which plane delays and weather does not really change my thinking. To me, this is at most a FG game in either direction. For this game, I will roll with the hot team and take Giants with the points. Based on the foregoing, I am teasing the Pats and Giants for 1x. Good luck.

What u think about new England team total under 28 1/2? Baltimore only given up 28+ once this season.

AKA Basic Strategy Teasers Dex. They involve teasing favorites in the 7.5-8.5 range down 6 points and dogs in the 1.5-2.5 (LTA has always questioned why not include the 3 as well, I agree) range up 6 points. In both instances you cross the key 3 and 7 numbers. They have been proven to be profitable long term, this season I had some nice success with them as well. Books are definitely cognizant of these numbers and often times try to stay out of their range if they can.

    NFL 2011-2012 Playoffs Round 3

    2 - 0 = +2x

    NFL 2011-2012 Season

    87
    - 80 = -0.2x

After the whole season, we are basically at even entering the Super Bowl. Set up perfectly to end the season in the black. Good luck.

I would also add that they have proven to be the only +ev teasers that can be profitable long term as long as you get a ptice of -110 or better. Many books will be moving to -120 after this season.

Wong's are reason you will see pinny and 5d hang +-9 with heavy juice or high plus odds like in the packer/giants game last week. They dont want to be in the wong range if they can avoid it.

Ive played about ten all year and done well. Red has played every nfl eligible wong teaser all year and also done well. Nfl games tend to stay close, so wong teasers are a profitable wager...the only teasers that really are long term.

Been a Titanic battle this NFL season bro......Comes down to the Super Bowl, Big Game!!! Looks like opening line is in the 3 range..............

At first glance at very primative numbers, i think this total is way shaded to the over at 55.5. I have this more in the 49-50 range. Let u know when i get more detailed.

  29. #2829

Football outsiders has not updated since 1-2. Will they put up current numbers to help evaluate the late season resurrgence of the giants defense?

  30. #2830

I would assume if you like the Giants now would be the time to take them.....I don't see them getting more than 3 and imagine it will close less than that. Regarding the total Donnie, it may be a tad high but I think it's safe to assume that Brady gets in the 20's. I think Eli is gonna carve the shit out of the Pats, and their poor pass rush. So I would expect both teams in the mid to high 20's.

I def like the giants, and u are correct, the pats rush ranks 19th. I do believe eli will have success. The giants def also ranks 12th against tight ends and pass rush is tenth which makes me think they can keep brady uncomfortable. The wideouts of the giants will wreak havok as well as the tight ends against which ne ranks 32nd and 29th respectively. Think u are right about +3. Thanks red

Good luck Donnie! Just to clarify, I haven't decided what I will be betting this game, the whole Myra Kraft situation kinda has me spooked . My point was that I think Giants backers are probably getting their best number atm.......would like to hear LTA's view on this one.

  34. #2834

I had already decided already to back the giants and when i saw pinny go to -115 i knew we wouldnt see any higher. Very comfortable with that bet. i feel the gmen are playing the best all around football and if they can get those running backs going...lookout!
