I'm sorry to tell you but Atlanta will not win this game!!!

This is a young Atlanta team that will start loosing very soon!!! They are going up against a Bears Defense that is very very tough! They will bring all types of pressure to Matt Ryan!

Yah I really don't see the value in betting the Falcons. Look how awful they did against TB.

Anyone betting the Falcons this week has a lot more balls but probably a lot less money in the end. I've my "true line" at Chicago -3, so it's a no-play for me, but I'd lean slightly towards taking Chicago if I had a gun to my head.

Basically the same story with the 49ers. The Eagles are a quality team despite their record. It's going to be a tough game for the 49ers even at home. My "true line" has Eagles -4, so another no-play. But with a gun to my head I'd take the Eagles.

Actually, the Falcons would make a good 2 team teaser bet, which is better than betting it straight, I think. I like this one, if you must take the Falcons:

    Falcons +8 1/2, Saints -1 1/2. -110

The Falcons has'nt really beaten a good team! The only team they really faced thats ok is the Packers and Rodgers was playing hurt. The Bears will kill the Falcons! The Falcons did'nt do well against a Tampa Defense and they will not do well against a Bears Defense!

Chicago can stop the run.... and I don't have enough confidence in Matt Ryan taking the game into his hands.

    Default call me crazy

I know this sounds CRAZY but i love the ML for ST. LOUIS, two tough but solid victories for wash. but this is a young team coming home, they had solid victories against two division opponents and i really could see ST. Louis sneaking up maybe i am crazy but i will lay 1.5 dimes

You are crazy..... Clinton Portis all day.... The Rams have to not get blown out at least one week before I go anywhere near them.

I do understand how you feel but a couple times a year i like to take shots when the time is right just to get back at the books and play with house money if i succeed, and i really like the RAMS in this spot, Crazy yes but hopefully lucky after sunday

If the Redskins played in a crap division I would understand, but Zorn won't let them forget that every game is a must win especially against garbage teams who just had their coach fired. Not saying Rams won't cover, but the ML is crazy..

If you want to bet on a bad team playing hard, I'd take the Bengals +220 this weekend. The Jets are a patchwork team that will depend on Favre to pull them through. They really haven't looked great this year all around, just beating Miami in a game Miami could've won in the end, then beating Arizona in a shootout when Warner was giving away turnovers like a grandmother gives out candy. The Bengals played nose to nose with top NFL teams such as the Giants & Cowboys in the past two weeks, they are really playing hard right now. I really like the Bengals this weekend.

Agree 100%. If I'm the Jets this week, I am afraid. Very afraid.

Redskins will not lose. This team will probably go 13-3 and im being generous.Look at there remaining games.rams, browns, lions, pitt on monday nite at home, then bye week,Dallas at home afterwards. The next game at seattle this could be a lose maybe but Zorn being an x seahawk i see him getting high for that one. Then we have giants at home aka payback time, then at bmore which will be tuff.Cincy, philly at home, then at 49ers.I really think 13-3 is achievable.I got the skins at 50-1 odds before the season so im with them all the way.

Hey, all the power to the Redskins. But if they go 13-3, or even 11-5; I will hand you a blank check.

They will only go as far as Portis takes them. He goes down for any reason, bye-bye season.

Guys, season wins depend largely on injuries. Watch Portis go down and your team drops back down into the middle of the pack. It's a long season. Just enjoy each win as it comes. If you get into the playoffs take it from there. I think it's silly to start counting up season wins unless you're really hardcore and trying to nail some soft futures lines and can handicap injuries, not that I know anyone that can do that well.

Stick to handicapping ATS week by week. Don't forget to check the injury reports. lmao

The whole injury argument is stupid because it's the same for most teams.. Saints lose Brees, Cutler Broncos. Could go on and on.

That's why it's an 8-8 league. You can't take your team that's 3-1 after 4 weeks and say, BINGO! We'll be 12-4. It doesn't work that way. I was explaining WHY it doesn't work that way.

Also it ISN'T the same for all teams. If Washington loses Portis, that doesn't mean that Cutler & Brees will go down. Washington will be down a man, but their opponents may or may not lose similar strength as a team. This is what handicapping is all about. Welcome to sports betting.

All good points being made here regarding injuries. That is why depth is so important to teams; even though many of them neglect this. Strength in numbers rules. The team with the greatest depth (not necessarily talent) at the skill positions will more often than not prosper and go the furthest.

The Redskins are 4-1 against the hardest sched of any team so far and face the easiest remaining sched of any NFC East team, but I suspect some streakiness from Campbell and the rest of the team down the road.

Further in the Redskins' favor is that the Giants are 5-0 with the easiest schedule behind them [even including the Redskins!] and the hardest dead ahead. Not in their favor is playing in easily the hardest division in the NFL.

I'm not saying I think the Skins are 12-4 team, but to say their season will be over if they lose Portis is the same case for most teams if they lose their star player..

Not really; that's why I mentioned "depth". If San Diego lost Tominlinson this year, they have more than capable backups to fill in and win for them at that position. They already have.

I won't even mention teams like the Giants or Broncos, who are 4-5 deep at the RB and WR position before they ever find themselves in trouble.

Redskins have no replacement for Portis. They would be far better if Campbell went down. Collins is at least as good if not better than Campbell.

im a big 49er fan. there is no way the niners beat Philadelphia this week. Mcnabb kills the niners, he comes out this week and claims hes "embarassed" with his play knowing full well he can bounce back against SF and put up big numbers. The eagles have lost 2 games in a row that they thought they should have won, there falling further behind the other beasts in the NFC east and they need this win. its tough for me to say but the eagles cruise to atleast a 10 pt win. BOOK IT

The Bears are one of the Better teams in the NFC, Falcons have been a surprise but do not compare. The Bears are currently being undervalued because of their record.

they started the year 2-2 beating Philly and Indy, and losing to tampa and Carolina(both games they led late in the 4th quarter.

Those are 4 tough games to start the year.. Last week they finally got to take a step down in class and they DESTROYED the Lions. The falcons are better than the lions, but still a step down in class. Expect the Bears to win this game by 10+

With you on Washington. St. Louis is so banged up, they should go down easy. Not liking the rest of the picks though. San Fran is not a good team at all -- They look alright when playing against some mediocre teams, but watch out counting on them.... I've bet on them twice this year as the underdog, and lost money twice.
