    Default Jets choosing TE?

    http://www.newsday.com/sports/footba...=ny-jets-print

Boy, this would be shocking. Is this a new regime or is this Rich Kotite selecting Kyle Brady with the Jets first pick? I think it's the biggest waste to draft a Tight End that high.

Absolutely Dan. Everyone is so in awe just because Vernon Davis ran a 4.3 40. So what. The 40 time is so overated. why don't they run it with pads on? Thats more realistic. He'll be a top 10 pick off that 40 time alone. Sad.

I agree, mistake to take a T.E. that high. Also, he is only 6'2". Almost more of a Frank Wycheck type.

But like IMG said in another thread, a good tight end makes your sucky quarterback look a lot better. Vick, Trent Green, Brees. Especially Green and Brees being that they have absolutely no quality receivers.

Rumors are that Jets may trade 4th and 29th to SF for 6th and 22nd picks.

That'd be a good deal for the Jets because Hawk will be taken #5 by the Packers. They don't want Hawk as they are fine at LB.

But what would S.F. see to make them what to move up 2 spots. They know they can't get Bush there. Surely they wouldn't take a T.E. at 4. They wouldn't draft any of the QB's.

This is why I love the draft.

They must what D'briskashaw by moving up to that spot. Bush, Williams, and hopefully Young or small possibility of Leinart will go 3. I'm a Colts fan, i want the Titans to take Fumbles McSramble.

I think the 49ers would have to take Ferguson or Hawk at the #4 spot.
