Default Anybody think 21 pt teasers are worthwhile?

I've had some success with 10 and 13 pt teasers, and i was looking at 21 pt teasers (on betonline.com ).
    Are they worthwhile?

You need to bet 9-10 games and only get -100.
I know it looks like a trap, but i cant imagine that i'd guess on a game an be off by 21 pts (not including whatever the spread already is). Although i'm sure that type of thinking is what keeps them in business.

Still, a regular dog +24 seems pretty good.

    Thoughts?

not when you have to pick 9-10 games to get even money. Thats just outrageous.

I did one in week one and hit it, all of the games i had covered easily. Pulled all of my money out after that because of problems i was having with BetOnline so I haven't tried any more, but i think they could work out. Hell, even Ohio State covered a 33 point spread this weekend.

Edit-I did this on college football, doubt this would be profitable on pros because of the lack of options for the teaser.

21 points... ...that's crazy!!! I like teasers. 9 to 10 teams is a lot, but with 21 points to play with I think it's very do-able. Go for it.

In the end this is a total sucker bet. The reason being is that it only takes 1 game to deviate from the spread, which is not uncommon in NFL and NCAAF betting. Take a look at games this past week that were 21+ points from the spread/total.

I can see the plus and minuses.
Some games are blowouts, but thats not necessarily a problem if i take the favorite.
    A team thats -10 becomes +11.
Plus those blowout games normally have huge spreads anyways. This week even in the giants/rams game, the spread was 9. With 21pts the rams would have covered by 2. its a stretch though...
Really you never know, but considering how few games are massive blowouts (enough to cover both the initial spread and the extra 21 pts), there might be a way to make money.

ps a few more nails in the coffin.... i read the payout wrong. its -200 not -100. Which is substantially worse.
also, they dont allo totals (for obvious reasons) only sides, and a push is a loss.

Some books such as Wagerweb have 21 point ties push during this NFL preseason i took every underdog in the preseason every week never lost once...came close in week 3 one team only put 3 points on the scoreboard. If you know how to work teasers it can be huge. The thing that sucks is unless you have a good amount of $$$ at risk its not worth the time im getting back even $$$ on these. If theres a blowout and im on the wrong side, Im going to get hammered. I have to use extreme caution. keep in mind these are my last resort when im down or on a cold streak... havent used them this CFB/NFL regular season as i am up and on a roll.

The last 3 preseasons, I have bet on the each game individually for the underdogs that are atleast +120. Pretty easy money. (which is nice because after the first 2 weeks of NFL, i have had my a$$ handed to me: 1-8)
