    I'm 29th.

But I have Memphis winning the whole thing.

How many people ahead of me in the standings also have Memphis?

If you guys want to see someone else's bracket in order to figure out where things stand, go to the bracket contest software, click "Standings" then click the name(s) of any poster's bracket you'd like to see.

I think next season we'll try to add some sort of scenario analysis tools ... something like ESPN has. In the meantime, I'm sure Ganchrow will be in soon with the breakdown.

    Hedgehog,

My post should actually say UCLA over Kansas for 1st place. You definitely cash if Memphis beats Kansas. Not sure about Kansas over UCLA but I don't think so.

Refresh my memory, please. What is the point structure for the final two rounds (I know the seed multiplier is not a factor anymore)?

Whoever came up with the rules for this contest has to be really sharp. How come someone with 47 wins is not leading? All the leader did is to pick all the 10, 11, 12, 13 seeds to advance in hope that a couple will so he can take advantage of the point differential but is not penalized for the wrong picks so someone with 39 wins leads whereas someone with 47 wins is 54th?

To make this contest fair you should penalize the wrong picks with the same weight when someone picks a 13 seed to advance but loses otherwise all you had to do is pick the high seeds since no penalty if lose.

Don't blame those of us who actually read the rules for doing well.

PS Just like sports betting the goal of the contest isn't just to pick as many winners as possible.

The rules are what they are and should stay. I am congratulating the leaders. However, in order to make this contest more exciting the rule maker needs to consider penalizing the wrong picks too so you won't have the awkward situation were No.54 with 47 wins has no shot were No. 1 with 39 wins is leading. Something to consider for future contests.

BeatyourJerk, not posting picks and not posting at all are two different things. Go back to school and learn some English Son. The lamp still looks funny above your head.

This way is great. You have to consider the expected points when making your first round picks. Not only do you have to take into account expected points for that round, but also what you are sacrificing in later rounds. This is why I didn't pick all 13 seeds to win.

As for 47 winners being behind 39, I still fail to see how that is awkward, particularly in a contest on a sports betting forum. This also can happen in "normal" scoring systems, where each game is not weighted the same.
