Arrow Thu 3/27 & Fri 3/28 ML Parlay & Discussion Thread. Best thread on SBR, lets do this!!

This thread is where the action is

If you haven't visited this thread or are new here then let me describe what we do here.. We mostly discuss ML Parlays but aren't limited to just that, many of the guys who frequent this thread post sides, totals, teasers etc. This is also the thread where I post all my plays, it's sort of a superstition thing but it's worked for me so why not?

The comradery in here is great, all of us get along and root each other in. There is no bashing, because the douchebags stay out of this thread for the most part.

Alright fellas, if you see anything that is really good post it in here. Let's work together and come up with some good thought out plays. Let's do our best not to chase if things aren't going according to hoyle.

Lets do this

Thursday AND Friday action in here

I'm also thinking about mixing in a NBA wager to put into a parlay.. So if you see anything good in the NBA mention it here.

Xavier getting points, I'm all over it. Kansas and UCLA moneylines will be in all of my plays I think.

sup fellas....

well you saw what happened to me and us all today with Gtown... the sick humor of the gambling gods, to leave me just enough to keep struggling..... my original bankroll

so here is what i gots to say...... seeing as i am in my all in mode, i will be all in yet again on one play...... the problem i have is that the play is incomplete:

UNC
UCLA
Kansas

in my mind there is no way this play loses, and even if the freakish occurs, you can't knock yourself for the play..... in short, there have been many solid plays in the past couple months here, and i see this as solid if not the most solid we have encountered this season, let me explain....

UCLA and Kansas:

we all can see the clear advantage here with the teams they are matched up against, so i wont go into that..... though, it should be noted that a 12 seed has never beat a 1 seed, ever.... also, both teams are on a mission to the final four and have only had their paths cleared all the more on that mission by the upsets of the 4 and 5 seeds in their region, if Kansas and UCLA do not win in each respect, it would be about the biggest choke in college BB history..... imo, these two games are about as good of a lock as the 1 v 16 seed matchups in the first round......

UNC:

UNC is the third leg, and obviously not as much as a lock as the others based on their facing a solid Wazzou that seems to be playing better now than they were in the regular season, but the focus here is the pegs against Wazzou.... they are playing in Carolina's backyard, a little statistic, UNC in NCAA tourney history is an astounding 23 -1 in games played in the state of NC.... also, UNC is clearly on a mission the way they have been peaking leading into the tourney, they are clearly the better team here, playing essentially a road game to UNC's home game and the role of a minor speed bump in UNC's goal of a national championship

I just can't see any of these three teams losing, which is exactly what you want for one of these plays.....

the problem is this.....

it pays at -177 currently at the greek....

I can't go all in at those odds, in short, the risk wouldnt be worth the reward, however, i would like to use this play to get me back to full strength.... i have looked over the board for the week and there are some nice ML plays, but nothing that I would go all in with linking it to these three teams....

UNC
UCLA
Kansas
(Team X)

if team X is in the -500 range it makes the overall play around +100, i would even take -120 at this point and it would be a done deal....

any suggestions??????????

btw imgv, you mentioned NBA plays to add, i think two tomorrow night are in our range and are solid plays

Monday Night-

Boston (will beat Philly at home and probably around -700)

Denver (should definitely beat Memphis, playing for a playoff spot and huge opportunity to get a W against one of the worst teams in the league probably around -350)

Den, Houston, and Boston all look like solid ML picks for tomorrow.

either charlotte at utah on tues. or charlotte at lakers on wed. or miami at detroit on thurs. those three games are "locks."

I'm glad you agree with me that Kansas/UCLA/UNC have the best shot at winning...if i had to include another team it would be memphis...That would make it well over +1xx...I would NOT wager against Davidson under any circumstances...I wouldn't wager against Tennessee either, as that game can easily go either way...Otherwise a Memphis/UCLA/UNC/Kansas/Lakers 5-team parlay might be the path you want to take...you can even buy some points to give Memphis the spread edge if you feel unsafe about them

thanks for the suggestions andyman, will consider all those options....

i stumbled across this in another forum, not sure how reliable it is, but it is food for thought, and a lead for research, and strongly upholds UNC/Kansas/UCLA as a winner....

yeah i think this week if Pau comes back at home, and they are playing a weak road team, it is a very strong ML Play.... trick with those is the Ml could open at -1500 or higher....

You could consider buying points for either the UCLA Under or the UNC Over...If you could buy points up to -350 it will turn out to be even

my head is telling me, Wiscy and the play is done, but i agree about Davidson, something about that team this year.....

yeah those totals seem solid, but only thing i don't like about totals is players arent playing to hit a certain toal, but they are playing to win the game, like herm edwards says....

just sucks that Memphis wasn't such a scary 1 seed or that Davidson wasn't blessed by god, otherwise this would be an easy play....

an NBA solid play would work, but i am increasingly believing there is no such thing, you never know when they will take a night off on the court.... i was on Det and LAL ML tonight

also, i feel like this is a pretty urgent play in terms of timing, because i see the line moving dramatically very soon.... UNC might actually go down, but i know UCLA will be way up and Kansas will top the -1000 mark very soon, so i would like to lock it in very very soon

unc has topped 100 points in its first two games...im guessing they score around lets say 80 to be safe, so as long as they done win by 20 you're ok...thats why i like to buy points with totals, its like insurance...you have no idea how many times buying points for totals has saved my ass

ok guys.... i have a strong lean for thu/fri now....

the four semi-pro teams v. the college basketball teams

at +130

the four 1 seeds each have at least two starters that will be starting players in the NBA in the next 12 to 24 months....

UCLA has three NBA players, UNC has 2 players, Kansas has 2 or 3 and Memphis has 3 players.....

logic would dictate that teams with a core of their starters that could be starting in NBA right now, should beat teams that do not have players that will start in the NBA, thus....

UNC
UCLA
Kansas
Memphis

at +130

tell me why i am wrong.....

stingy i suggest to just play the parlay you have.. its hard enough to pick four winners let alone three.

I'm going to bet Louisville ML when it's available at Matchbook. Expecting a line between -130 and -133 with them..

I'm going to be on Memphis ML strong myself.. Still weighing my options..

I see that Dallas and Utah have extremely winnable games tomorrow in the NBA. Will definitely be adding them into the equation.

Dallas and Utah are among the best home teams in all of the NBA.

ok....

next question to the crew....

i know we will be all over UCLA in our plays this week, so... do we trust Hubert Davis who has seemed to fall in love with Western Kentucky and predicts them to upset the bruins this week?

imgv, do you mean i should stick with just

UCLA
Kansas
UNC

at -180
??

good question ym.... i am already trying to figure a winner for the opener, first pitch in 4 hours.....

i cant see the sox losing with dice K in japan, seems like it is set up for a ceremonial win for the sox, but the line is so cheap???? i hate this word being tossed around, but it is the first line i have seen that seems like a "trap"

i wonder if imgv knows if MLB is good for Big ML Parlays like we been doing here??
