Default Which player deserves the NCAAM basketball MVP?

I've got to say Michael Beasley here. He's top 5 in both scoring and rebounds and without him K-State stinks.

Kevin Love you will all see.

Beasley takes an absurd amount of shots

Hansbrough is up there and deserving.

DJ white is a beast

How about giving Vaszquez the Least valuable player. Maryland would be so much better if Mike Jones' soul didnt find its way into his game.

This just gave me a headache. However maryland will probably blow BC off the floor tonight

gl bastards

its not the mvp, its the james naismith college player of the year award, which says nothing about being "most valuable". therefore, it goes to the best overall player, which is:

michael beasley or tyler hansbrough

If Hansbourgh was in a Kansas State jersey and Beasley was in a North Carolina jersey this would not even be an argument. Has Hanborugh faced box and one and even triangle and two defenses this year? Beasley has most of the year and still put up better numbers. There should not even be a question here.

Great point, I also like Beasley to win it, but you can also throw Love into that mix.

Beasley team is not even ranked, lets have the player of the year have a winning attitude because that's what it's all about. Hansborough it is

Last time I checked its called Player of the Year not Team of the Year. Hansborough has no business even being mentioned in the same sentence as Beasley. Will Hansborough even be a first round draft pick? Go ahead and say its not about the best NBA potential, but in the end that is who is most talented. (i.e. Durant last year and Beasley this year).

yes, tyler hansbrough will be a 1st round draft choice, he is a much better player than people give him credit for, and is more highly thought of by nba scouts than by fans, he annoys people for some reason, but the dude is a great player, carried unc while ty lawson was out with the ankle

Tyler wins this one. He's a kid thats staying in school for 4 years, not one and done. That has a lot to do with why he is favored i believe.

you might as well throw the award in the toilet if your even thinking about giving it to a whitey. hansborough will play 15 minutes a game in the nba and warm the bench real well. he is not favored. not sure where you saw that but you are incredibly misinformed. i think love could make a decent pro because he appears to have an outside game but he isnt even close to the best freshmen in the country much less the best player

Wow, you my friend, are the one misinformed. This award, MUCH like the heisman, goes to the best COLLEGIATE level player, not the best future pro.
