yeah man I know figures the "sure" pick tonight out of my parlay was the won that lost. double sucks because I had 2 units on them as well for the spread. man should have known not to mess with Kentucky at home I know their season looked bad so far, but just had a feeling with their close game against Mississippi State that they would get momentum and continue to play even with tough loss at Florida.

sometimes I play point spreads...I'm playing Det -4 buying 3...and I would take the Kings big time...they are healthy ...for only the second game all year with their complete starting lineup they put up 128 last night...SAC to LA is not a big deal as far as back to backs go...plus the Clippers owner openly critized Dunleavy in the LA Times and yesterday Dunleavy said this..

Los Angeles Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy, incredulous at his team owner's griping, struck back on Tuesday.

Donald Sterling, in comments made to the Los Angeles Times, had expressed disappointment in his team's fortunes and made what sounded vaguely like an ultimatum, saying, "I want to make L.A. fans proud of this team, but if [Elgin Baylor and Mike Dunleavy] can't make it happen, then I have no choice but to make changes."

Dunleavy told the Los Angeles Times the Clippers' fortunes would be different "as long as basketball people around here make the basketball decisions," arguing that a couple of player deals he had proposed during the summer were negated by the front office -- deals, he says, that could have helped the team.

"You give me the budget," Dunleavy said in the Times, "and I'm going to be OK with it. I'm not asking anyone to go to the luxury tax. But if we gather information and put deals in place that I think benefit the team and somebody who is not in basketball operations disagrees with it, sorry, you've just taken it out of my hands."

At this point, not much is in the Clippers' hands. The team is at the bottom of the Pacific Division, and frustration is rising. The 109-93 loss to the Utah Jazz at Staples Center prompted Sterling to talk with Dunleavy, and then also with the Times.

"That's why I'm paying [Dunleavy] the money I am," Sterling said. "I want to see him win. I don't want to tell him how to do it. I'm just interested in the conclusion. My whole philosophy is hire the best people and let them do their jobs.

"There is no alternative, you have to rely on them, and if it doesn't work out, either you're patient or make changes, right?"

Just two years ago, the picture was a lot rosier. The Clippers were in the NBA playoffs, Sterling professed his admiration for Dunleavy, and last year made him one of the five highest-paid coaches in the NBA with a deal for four years, $22 million.

Now ...

"I'm not happy," Sterling said in Monday's Times. "The fans aren't happy, and can't be happy when they don't see a motivated performance."

Dunleavy said he did understand Sterling's frustration, but doesn't express the same outlook as the owner. Sterling believes the Clippers "absolutely" can still produce a successful season, but Dunleavy said, "Where we are today as far as making the playoffs, nobody in their right mind would bet on that."

"Maybe it's a flaw I have, but I never think in short terms as coach. I always think in terms if I owned this team what would I do," Dunleavy said in the Times.

"I would only make deals to help our future -- anything else is suicide. Anything else and you become the New York Knicks. Now if you want to do that and take on big contracts and long-term deals to potentially hit a home run or get some kind of turnaround, that's not the direction I would go as a businessman or if I owned the team."

total turmoil in Clipper land....I'm on the Kings ML -145...if Wallace doesn't play for Bobcats tonight jump on the point spread ...Wallace avg's over 21 a game and is their leading scorer...but it may be a game time decision so check to see if anything gets posted a few minutes before game time on this...I figure he must not be 100% and Dallas lost by 18 in their last game so they should come out strong tonight and at least win...

FSU I like ...Pitt is the better team but has lost 3 in a row on the road to St Johns at MSG and is 1-5 at MSG all time ....they are only 4-3 on the road..too iffy for me...Florida I like...Memphis I like but could be close to the spread...they beat Tulsa on the road by 17 last year and a similar comparison would be to look at their game vs Marshall who is now 10-6..favored by 15 on the road and beat them by 22 on Jan 12...the thing is..will Memphis be as focused at the start as Tulsa..everybody loves them now and they're #1 so Tulsa may keep this close...and being #1 means everyone will want to knock you off...being this is their first game at #1 and on the road I wouldn't play this one....doesn't mean they won't just come out and kick though...GL

also not sure if this makes sense, but does your odds increase in a parlay like if you have one team needs to cover by like 14 and another has to only cover by like 2? or does the number not matter?

Parlay odds all depend on the price of that line.

For Example If I want to parlay a big favorite with a small favorite tonight. I would go to my book and next to the line there is a number that is in parenthesis. This number usually falls between 100-110 either + or - depending on the amount of action on that particular team. So these are the numbers that come in to effect when playing a parlay....

Xavier -11.5 (-102)
and
Troy -1.5 (-108)

The -102 and -108 are the factors in determining your parlay's payout.
