Hey fellas. I have been following this forum for the past couple of years and have been thuroughly impressed with the baskeball handicapping...so I decided to go ahead and register. I have been doing pretty well but I have not been keeping up with my record this year.

Picks for today:

K-State +6
New Mexico +1.5
Airforce -5.5
Tennessee -15.5
San Diego st. -23 (expecting a 30 pt. blowout)
Also leaning out a little towards Providence +2


Note: I see a lot of people are betting towards USC tonight at +8. I am a student at Memphis right now and have watched them up close develope over the past few years. I also have seen 3 of USC's games this year (most notably Kansas). Memphis is going to have the same game plan Kansas did. They will cut to the basket and rely on Duglas-Roberts and Rose to create close layups (mind you Douglas-Roberts is the leading scorer and this is his game, cutting to the basket). I also saw USC get raped on the boards all game against Kansas. This is going to be a big problem for USC because of Dorsey 6'9, Taggert 6'11, and Dozier 6'11 are all getting a mass portion of playing time. I know the game is in New York but this is beginning to look like home games for Memphis. They have played there so often and are very comfortable. I see Memphis getting up early and pushing the pace all game. Calipari is going to want to prove a point that Memphis is going to go all the way this year.

I am going to wait right before tip off to see if I can get the line a little lower. It seems like a lot of the money if going towards USC bc. they played an off Kansas team and a regrouping Oklahoma team. I want to see if by some chance in hell I can get it around 6. If not I will take it at 7.

wow, starting out the night 1-3, not too good. Love how they decided to throw up 36 three's in the game. Thats why I don't believe they will make it very far. Can't play away from home and their whole game relies on Lofton throwing up circus shots from NBA range.
