If I had a GOY
Auburn -2 vs. Alabama
I am playing it for 5 units, which is the most I have ever played a basketball game for. This game will be a complete thrashing. When the teams are even in talent, the home team always dominates this series, and Alabama comes in beat up and unprepared for Auburn's attack. Now Alabama's best player is out for the season, and their young players have not been stepping up as predicted by many.
I hate comparing games this way, but Alabama lost by 15 at Temple, and Auburn beat Temple by 31 at home.
My line on this game was Auburn -11. I wouldn't be surprised to see this line close at 5 or 6.

Wow, this is weird. A friend of mine just pointed me to this thread at the RX.
http://forum.therx.com/showthread.php?t=339054
My friend is an Auburn fan, and we had been talking about this game for weeks - and, for that matter, the rematch when Auburn heads to Tuscaloosa - hoping to get a line of less than 5. I didn't know anything about the thread when I posted this, but certainly understand the poster's reason for saying what he said. Those who are familiar with both teams have to be absolutely shocked at this line. I know I was. I'll be even more shocked if Auburn doesn't win by double digits.

As for the Auburn game, I apologize to anyway who trailed this pick. I learned a valuable lesson tonight (Hopefully others recognize this without having to pay the price I did). No matter how much the stats and emotion point to one side, never make a big play on a team that, for whatever reason, struggles to beat the team they are facing. I don't know if any of you watched the game, but there was a play with 13:00 left that totally changed the course of the game. Auburn was up by 7, and had a 3-on-1 fast break, but travelled, and Alabama came down and hit a three. Auburn proceeded to make 1 FG in about a 10 minute span, and that was that.
Again, sorry. I hope some of you got Alabama in the second half (I only took it for 2 units, so still lost 3.5 on the game).

Stu Feiner - Auburn
ppp - 3% - Auburn
Dr D - 3* Auburn

It's just one loss - 5 units - you're still ahead for the year. Auburn just couldn't score. Do we count down the days to the World Baseball Classic? or opening day?
