Bulls +13 at Irish

Notre Dame has a nice home court winning streak going, but they're laying too many to cover this afternoon versus South Florida.

Respect is given to Notre Dame's 15-game home winning streak. However, this is just too many for the young Irish to lay in this Big East contest.

The Fighting Irish are at their best when they are running with momentum. That's not the case here. The Dame checks into the Edmund P Joyce Center off an embarrassing road loss at Villanova. According to my college basketball database, ND is a dismal 28-52 ATS when priced as a favorite coming off a straight up loss. Along the same lines, the Irish are just 17-32 ATS when laying -10 or more including 3-13 ATS in this set coming off a straight up blemish.

Last year South Florida was forced to travel to South Bend for the first time and the Bulls got caught up in the mystique of the Golden Dome and dropped a 62-55 decision to Notre Dame. That loss will certainly help USF here. Technically speaking, the Bulls are at their best when priced as an underdog of +10 or more notching a sweet 32-15 ATS mark!

Notre Dame's 'D' was lacking a bit against the Wildcats on Wednesday night. The knee-jerk would be to side with the Irish here off that brutal loss. But as you can see, the numbers just aren't there.
