If I see 90% of the Public on something I either stay away or I fade. I usually do this right before game time to take advantage of the extra points. You get a nice little cushion of points. Its almost like a 1 team teaser at times.

Slate I tried to do a study like this before and found no correlation with spreads. Let me know if you find something. I'd suggest watching this during specific times and durations as well.
