Was looking for some thoughts on this game? I think Syracuse is playing well right now and really showed me what they are capable of against a good notre dame team. The only thing is that it was a home game. Home court is so important in college basketball and has a lot to do with the point spread. I think 8 1/2 is to much though. Pitt is not good when there big man gets in foul trouble and Syracuse has two beasts in the paint. I know this game is at Pitt, but really like Syracuse here. Any thoughts would be great fellas!

leaning Pitt....they are coming home after choking away that lead to Lou and losing... vs a Syracuse that plays very average on the road...only lean right now...kind of want to see where the line moves but Pitt...conf game at home...after a loss that knocked them out of #1...I believe they will show up to play a good game

Took Syracuse +8 early for 1 unit. Look at Pitt's travel schedule, played at home on Thursday vs. South Florida, then traveled to Louisville and played an emotional hard fought game and lost on Saturday, now travel back home for a Monday contest. Give me an Orange team that is playing well, and will not be shocked to see them pull off the upset, but I do think at a minimum this should be a battle.

I am convinced that SU WILL NOT loose this game by that much. They are playing better right now I think except that 1st half against Gtown. Look for SU big men to have great game and SU covers this spread. SU +8.5 BIG!

it's just hard to back the Cuse on the road...it just is...or at least it is for me. Especially after their showing last week at G'Town

And I think Pitt will be full of piss and vinegar after losing on Saturday night...

You're right about Pitt being in trouble when the big man gets in foul trouble, but Pitt is at home and you're supposed to get those calls at home...

All the money being on Syracuse and the line going the other way certainly is bothersome, as well...

I am from the Cuse, so you know I am biased. BUT I know my basketball as well. Home teams are tough to beat in the Big East and I agree that Pitt is pissed. BUT I think SU is a better team than people think they are and have as much talent as anyone in the Big East. They have 3/5 McDonold's All Americans in the starting lineup. They are getting better each game and Rautins has been on fire from outside this year. 9 points is a treat, they won't have a collapse like in Gtown. If you think about it, that is the only bad half they have played against anyone in the Big East this year. They won on the road against memphis and kansas. They will prove it tonight. I am taking this to the bank baby!

WELL, lets just say I won't be going to the bank for a deposit! They played very poor tonight and Pitt was the better team. What can I say, sure wish they would learn how to shoot some foul shots and play better defense on the road. They play like a different team when they are away from the Dome. I really thought they would shine tonight. If you took Pitt, Congrats! Not my night tonite!
