Default Sweetpete's Picks 11/17

Great weekend in NCAAB (spreadsheet will be kept all year), finally starting to get it together.

Brown +12 (1 unit) @ G. Mason
--Brown almost beat Rh. Isl., who almost beat Duke. Should be close.

C. Michigan +1 (2 units) vs. MO State
--This will be a big time down year for MO state

Cornell +4.5 (3 units) @ St. John's
Cornell returns 4 of 5 starters from last years NCAA Tourney team, while St. John's will be Big East bottom feeders as usual. Cornell will win SU.

Purdue -20.5 (1 unit) vs. E. Mich.
Should be another blowout for Purdue

Chattanooga +14 (1 unit) @ Mizzou
It's usually smart to bet against my Tigers early in the year. Just something I've noticed through the years. Plus, Chatt. is a decent team.

GL

What do you think about UAB -10 at Santa Clara? UAB can put up alot of points for they have alot of scores that returned from last year.

Cornell is one I have circled for tomorrow. Very likely to take it. GL bro.

The game's in Tuscon, so it's a semi-neutral court. UAB is clearly superior, so they seem to be the right pick. I just get a little hesitant early in the season on neutral site DD spreads like this, but I may end up playing 1/2 unit on UAB

Thnaks--you too. I may add a couple more units on this game. This line almost seems to good to be true.

My eyes lit up on both the Cornell and C Michigan lines as well, but...

--Louis Dale (Cornells best player by far) missed Friday's game with a hamstring injury and is likely to miss tonight. Cornell will also be without their other backcourt star Adam Gore.

--Central Michigan has four key players suspended, which left them with barely enough personnell to pull off a win against Princeton, on of the worst teams in the Ivy League.

Just wanted to make sure you guys were aware of this, I still may take both teams anyway but much less excited about it.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm a little less excited now too, as I also went nuts when I saw those lines! Missouri St. has a new coach and inexperienced players, so I don't think they can beat anybody right now. I guess I'm going to bank on Cornell's inside game to get it done. St. John's back court is terrible, and they don't have a proven center either. I'm still fairly confident in both games. GL!
