Starting Tuesday (April 1), we will start a new April Hoops Parlay Contest with a prize of $250 account at 5 Dimes, 3 time roll-over. Last place will receive a $25 5 Dimes account with a 3 time roll over. If there is a tie for last place in both units and game-by-game record (15 parlay minimum), there will be NO last place prize.

1. Check in the NBA BASKETBALL HANDICAPPING FORUM each day for the daily thread to be posted by LT Profits. Lines will be posted by 1:00 p.m. (ET) each day. Plays may be posted before that, but the official posted lines will be used for grading.

2. Posted spreads and totals are the only eligible plays for grading, no Money Lines or Halves allowed. NBA, NCAA Men's and beginning April 1, NCAA Women's games included.

3. Two-game parlay picks, laying 10 to win 26. Post entire parlay at same time, no open parlays.

4. Here’s the catch: Your play must include a write-up! The write-up does not have to be long, just a sentence or two about why you are making your play. If need be, please refer to prior month's contests for examples.

5. Entries that are past-post or do not have analysis for both games will be NO ACTION. Once your two-team parlay has been posted, you CANNOT change either play. Any edited post will count as a LOSS! If you make a mistake (such as leaving out "Over" or "Under" or not clearly stating your selection), need to add analysis or wish to enter corrected lines, do so in a separate post. This holds true even if the first game on the schedule did not tip off yet. It also holds true for past-posts and entries with no analysis. It does NOT hold true for posts that are not parlay selections, i.e. standings, commentary posts or congratulatory posts.

6. And here’s the fine print:

• Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
• One entry per household and IP address.
• Must use lines posted in daily thread by LT Profits
• Maximum one parlay pick per day, minimum 15 parlay plays required to be eligible for monthly prize.
• Tiebreaker for first place - Win % of individual parlay legs. If still tied, combatants will carry on a head-to-head parlay match until winner determined.
• All decisions made by SBR with regards to this contest are final.
• SBR employees eligible to participate but are not eligible to win the monthly prize.

BULLS/CAVALIERS OVER 198.5: These teams have gone over 200 points in four of their last six head-to-head meetings, and the last five Chicago games overall have averaged a combined 209.8 points. Look for the LeBron & Co. to get caught up in the pace here too.

ROCKETS/BLAZERS UNDER 182.5: The Blazers have gone south the second half of the season, and they are averaging just 91.4 points over their last five games. I don't think Portland gets out of the 80s vs. the Houston defense, keying this Under.

Portland Trailblazers Under 182½
Both teams play a slow paced game. Houston's offense matches up pretty well with Portland's defensive game, but ultimately Portland's offensive game will be shut down by Houston's defensive game. Look for the UNDER here.

Sacramento Kings Under 206
These 2 teams play pretty quick ball and the over would look like a good bet here, BUT these 2 teams match up well offensively vs. defensively. They should play a fast paced game, but will be sloppy and shutting down each other.

They are still a decent home team and Houston has been struggling ATS since their win streak.

It's a championship game and these teams should tighten-up their defense. If it stays close, the Total should be in the low 140's.

They need this game....bad. I think they play strong defense and shut down the Blazers.

LAC +11.5: That's a lottttt of points for the KINGS to give. Knowing the Clips, they'll lose by 20, but it's worth the risk. 11.5 is a lot of points.

LAC-SAC O206: The only question here is how many of the team's unguarded shots go down. There will be very little defense; I just hope there's enough offense.
