    Default Attention everyone free $$$

Again tonight we have a much more skilled team playing on the road only giving a handful of points. BetJamaica currently has Kentucky at -4.

No reason not to buy it down to -3 and toss a few hundred on it.

Just like Kansas yesterday. Posted that and got nothing but %'s and reasons why an obvious bet wasnt a good idea.

    Kentucky = $$$ Tonight

    E S P N

Betting blind I mean come on--The Kentucky Program is better coached, more prepared ect...Home court wont be enough---

Kentucky by 14 is my prediction.

I mean Alabama is 10-7. Gimme a Kit Kat.

    What you guys THINK??????????

Who didn't post Kansas? Everyone and their mom had that as a ATS or ML.

Yea it may not be a bad play on the ML or spread but there is a better game out there than this one the DePaul/Marquette matchup looks good

First of all, Kentucky is *not* more skilled. They are more *talented* and there is a difference. A skilled team has consistency, a talented team does not. Talented teams can still commit lots of turnovers, miss a bunch of free throws, and engage in questionable shot selection. They are also less inclined to play defense. Alabama could in theory zone the hell out of Kentucky, taking Terrence Jones out of his game and luring him into taking a lot of jumpshots. Facing a tougher than expected defense on the road could demoralize Kentucky just enough to get the home crowd into it and make an upset possible.

That being said, Kentucky isn't going to lose every SEC Road game, they might as well beat an SEC West team.

Its just one of those bets that seems to easy so people get intimidated to bet it----Kansas yesterday--posted it and had a lot of people giving reasons against it----14-3 vs a 10-7 team-better program---easy decision

Kentucky is 2-2 on the road. Losses to a less than impressive UNC team and a less than impressive Georgia team.

This is a huge trap, so bet a few hundred blindly if you don't really need the money. Nothing is this easy. This is Alabama or no play situation for sure. Same with Seton Hall and Illinois. Vegas could rake in the dough tonight, I'd watch out.

I still agree with taking Kentucky. I think that they will not have a problem covering tonight.

Completely agree. Also agree with agharah1. Kansas is far more disciplined. Kentucky is talented and young, but can be very inconsistent at times. If they play up to their potential, yeah they might be able to cover the points with ease. Yes, Kansas had a tough time with Mich and ISU, but those teams matched up very well with them. Baylor did not.

You can say the same about Alabama. Simply more talent on Kentucky. Easy Call.

Love Illinois in this situation. Public is all over Michigan State + the points. I'm thinking about pounding the ML in this one.

Hard to compare to Mich and Ill---thats a flat out coin flip---IMO id just take the ML on M State in that type of game but not betting it------MSU Spartan? U betting Ala?

Coin flip? So why is the line set at 4?. Illini just lost 2 straight to conference opponents on the road. They come back to Assembly Hall where they are 9-0 and have won 5 of 7 against Mich St there. I agree to disagree...but I'm a homer so there's a little bias involved. I've watched every game this year. Both teams have been playing sloppy as of late but you cant deny the severity of this game. Illini can not lose 3 straight to conference opp...especially at home where they are expected to get their wins.

I kind of agree but you never know which Illni team and Mcamey shows up---same with Mich St---However I agree if they lose this game the Season takes a sereious spiral down the toilet

Couldn't have said it better...This is a MUST win, lose and it will be detrimental to the rest of the year.

As requested in the other thread here are my thoughts on the Kentucky@Alabama game. I will preface these thoughts by saying that in the previous thread, I have watched every bounce of Kansas bball this year and several Baylor games, and I have seen only a few Kentucky games and no Alabama games.

However, I do think Kentucky has the upper hand and they will cover the -4 easily. They are a top 5 team in Kenpom (11th in RPI) and have a top 15 offense AND defense which is typically indicative of a very good team (only 4 other teams have both in top 15 being Ohio ST, Duke, KU and Syracuse). Alabama (Kenpom #58 RPI #176) has beat a few SEC teams lately (@ Miss ST & South Car) but these teams aren't even close to the level of Kentucky. Alabama's defense seems to be pretty good (Kenpom #10) but they haven't played an offense like Kentucky's, with the best offense they have faced this year being Purdue @ #27 where they lost by 19. Alabama's offense has been below average this year (170th) and with Kentucky's defense ranked in the top 15 I just don't see Alabama being able to score enough points to keep up with Kentucky.

I'm also leaning toward the under 133.5 due to Alabama's bad offense but decent defense and Kentucky's decent defense.
