WHY do you like Dayton?

-better record and would be even better had Scott been healthy all year
-better defense
-better free throw team
-Brian Roberts against James Life
-Roberts,Scott and Plummer are deadly 3 point shooters for Dayton.
- Mass are 0-6 when their fg % is under 44%
....Dayton have only allowed the opposing team to shoot better than 44% 3 times in their last 12 games.

2 of those 3 teams were 17-8 La Salle and 23-1 Georgia Washington and both away games.

- Home court advantage is overrated here. Dayton has a winning record in the past at Mass being only slight favorites.
- Dayton coming off a big confiden win at home against Xavier
- Almost beat La Salle on the road with Scott's first game back. Lost on a final seconds 3 from La Salle when the game was tied.
-Mass's best player Freeman has been having trouble scoring as of late.

...just a few thoughts...i'm waiting to get more points for dayton if i decide to play it

All the stats I have read make these teams look very similar. I'll
take similar and home court advantage..

I think Dayton is slightly better, I would rather have Dayton -3 at Daytonthan UMass -3 at home, but I still think this is the right play

4 of those 7 were without one of their best players and 2 of those games were against Cincinatti and George Washington.

Umass have dropped their last 2 home games, one to La Salle who beat them by 21 points at home. Dayton lost on a final shot at La Salle.

If Dayton keeps Freeman offensively inconsistent...Dayton will win the game outright.

The stat that sticks out to me the most is that Umass are ***2-11*** when they shoot under --44%-- as a team.

Dayton this season have held their opponents to a fg % of 40.1 %

play Dayton shoots about 5%(and probably better with 83% ft shooter Scott back)
better from the charity stripe.
