    Default Don't Do It!

We have all been guilty of it during the season, but these next four days and the next two especially could really legitimately break you ... if you .... CHASE!

DON'T DO IT FELLAS. That's the best advice going into the Big Dance. Take your losses. Take your wins. Be satsfied with your research and let the chips fall where they may. If you chase, you are doomed.

Come back to this thread if you need someone to tell you not to chase ... I know I might need it! Let's go get 'em & turn a profit!

    ....good money management

This is good advice, in all seriousness. I'm not playing anymore than my usual 5-7% of my roll tomorrow.

It's like that Dallas running back said back a long long long time ago:

"If the Super Bowl is the ultimate game, how come they're gonna do it again next year?"

Good advice. There are so many games and so many sports you don't have to plunge. Treat it like a business.

(Who was that Running Back? Dwayne something, I think. If you're under 40 you won't remember cause you didn't hear it in the first place."

0 for 5 on game selections. 1 for 1 on halves with one pending. Man do I suck. Chase, what chase?

I fibbed a bit here. I am actually playing closer to 10%, which isnt good money management but thats the extent of the madness for me. 2-4 so far today. Gonna sit out this Stanford-Cornell game and take a break and think about something else before the 7pm games.

That's it for the night time for me. I'm thinking I might just stick to totals .. because as soon as I go chalk, chalk will lose.

Will be sure to come back to this thread next time I get the urge to chase. I took a beating on the NCAA games and ended up chasing on some NBA games. Luckily, the Spurs and Celtics came through and got me close to even on the day. Even though I won, kicking myself for not using better money management.

Unless you can hit 54% or better you need to chase somewhat to suceed in the short term.

small chasing is not bad.. like an extra 1/2 unit or even a unit. But betting good percentages of your bankroll on a single game is just too risky right now.
