This is how it always is for people in Northern Virginia. We are much closer to UMD since they're right off the beltway and UVA is located way down south in Charlottesville. Somehow that makes us almost entirely Terps fans.

The problem with taking Virginia in this game is Caner-Medley. Virgina doesn't have a matchup for him so they will need to compensate and that will allow Maryland's offense to perform at a high level. When Maryland's offense performs well, their defense becomes much better because they are able to pressure and force turnovers. This is a bad matchup for Virginia.

I live in Alexandria and I am exactly 8 minutes from the 14th St Bridge. I can be in the middle of Georgetown in 15 minutes. Alexandria is fairly big, but even at its farthest point, you are no more than 25 minutes from the city. Winchester is indeed about 45 minutes away from the city. Way out in the suburbs.
